I studied from Lippincott and every single question was straight out of the book I studied from....couldn't believe it. But then again, that was 15 years ago!
I have been hearing that for a long time about Lippincott...many have stated that NCLEX questions came straight out of there. Unfortunately, that was not my experience (thank goodness I passed the first time, anyway), but people are still saying that. I hope it to be true for future test takers! :0)
so 3 years of college to prepair for what was they most unexpected test ever. I took my boards today and it was sooo not what i thought it would be. I bought myself one of those preperation books (pearson) and filpped through that sucker thinking ok, this won't be so bad....but man, do i feel like i failed that!!! Talk about not feeling prepaired for a test. IT WAS MEDS..oh, and some delgation. Please pray for me, all of you whom have gone through this. The tests that i took during college were not at all like this. We would have maybe 2 med questions, it felt like evry other question today was on one med or another, and if i do have to retake them (god forbid) how on earth do i study for that?!
p.s. I am not talking Lasix, i mean random meds.
I have been hearing that as well. It makes me wonder if those medications were experimental ones. I had 10 meds, didn't know about 4 of them, but, I did walk away with the same strangeness you are currently experiencing. It seemed like it was straight out of left field and I worked on over 7000 questions before I went in there. As you stated, tests in school were nothing like it, the practice questions did not relate to it, and I also walked out of there wondering how I could ever sit for such a thing again if I did all that I can do for this one. But, I did pass with minimum questions. No reason for the same not to happen for you! I wish you the best, and pray to see you post that you did it!
