I graduated in May and took it the first of July I would have taken it earlier but it took my paperwork that long to process. I would suggest going over a new subject everyweek so that you are comfortable with all aspects. Good luck you'll do great.

Holy cow I thought for sure I had failed, I took them on Saturday and walked out knowing I had failed there were more med questions then anything and I thought what I didn't study the whole drug guide book. I am so thrilled that it is over, what a stress relief. It was wonderful my results were posted on Monday afternoon after taking it on Saturday and boy am I happy, I couldn't have waited much longer. Good luck to the rest of you getting ready to take it.

Hey I just took mine on Saturday and found out yesterday that I passed. I felt like you I thought holy cow all those meds how could I prepare to do it again but thank god I passed and you will too. Good luck.

I am in my last semester of my LPN and we have finally gotten past the CNA work. I was thinking the same thing you are "am I training for a CNA or a LPN?" But it does get better and definitly more exciting I have done most of everything in our scope of practice at least once. Something I learned is that YOU have to jump in to get the oppurtunities otherwise the nurses assume you just want to watch so make sure you are vocal and say "can I do that" most nurses say of course others say why dont you watch and you can do it next time. But I learned the more vocal I am the more I get to do. I also realized that since we will be directing CNA's it would be good for us to know what were doing so we can teach them because they dont always know how to do everything correctly.Good luck things will get better.

I have to say that I think everyone is focusing on the eastern slope but I live on the western slope in Grand Junciton and I love it here there is something said about a peaceful and active life. This beautiful town has so much to offer, skiing, hiking, mountain biking, and boating. This is a small town with a lot of the big city ammenities. Makes a great place to raise a family. The hospitals may not be the greatest but I know Community Hospital treats there employees awsome and makes for a great place to work. I suppose if your only priority is money then I guess Colorado isnt the place for you but if you want to have a nice place to work and live along with a great community to raise a family then GJ might be a place to live. Evaluate what your priorities are. Good luck from a Colorado lover.

I struggled at first in med/surg but then I changed how I was studying. I began doing all the chapter reviews and the study guide whether we had to do it or not and that really helped me. I need to do research in order for it to sink in so the study guide was extremly helpful. Good luck hang in there. Sometimes you have to change how you are studying to really learn.

Hey, I live in GJ too and I used to live in FC and communte to Greeley in 2000 and I think it took like 45 minutes and the traffic is roughly the same as far as rush hour until you get into FC which is worse then GJ but its not a bad drive. I actually enjoyed the wind down on the way home and the chance to wake up before I got to work. Good luck, I would love to move back to FC.
