Nurses LPN/LVN

so 3 years of college to prepair for what was they most unexpected test ever. I took my boards today and it was sooo not what i thought it would be. I bought myself one of those preperation books (pearson) and filpped through that sucker thinking ok, this won't be so bad....but man, do i feel like i failed that!!! Talk about not feeling prepaired for a test. IT WAS MEDS..oh, and some delgation.

Please pray for me, all of you whom have gone through this. The tests that i took during college were not at all like this. We would have maybe 2 med questions, it felt like evry other question today was on one med or another, and if i do have to retake them (god forbid) how on earth do i study for that?!

p.s. I am not talking Lasix, i mean random meds.

I studied with the kaplan book and passed at the minimum of 75 questions, but I also did 2300 review questions over eight weeks post pinning. I believe review questions are the key, more so than studying content(you learned that in college), technique is the key. I believed the tests in nursing school were harder than the nclex, the nclex was broad as opposed the specificities of nursing school exams. Kaplan teaches how to piece apart the answers to find the correct choice. good luck to you, sure you did fine.

Yeeeaaahhh I passed!! Just got my results! Whewwww that was the positively worst 48 hours of my life (happy dance) I had 144 questions by the way so who knows what makes a difference...one friend had 86 another had 204 and they both passed!!

Good Luck to you I will say a prayer!!

good luck i also found out i passed with 203.so there is hope:monkeydance::monkeydance:;)

Believe me you are not alone, I have many friends with whom I went to school, and not one of them felt like they passed after taking their boards. I had all 205 questions and was for sure I failed, but that was not the case..so stay positive!!!
