OMG! I want to cry! I took my nclex rn for the second time yesterday and went all the way up to 265 in 5 1/2 hours! The first time I took it it was the same...265 and almost ran out of time! The only difference is that this time around I actually studied more so than the first. I just want tomorrow to get here so I can check my "unofficial results" but I don't know if I will have the strength because I'm too scared to do the PVT now! Lol I'm just so tired!
so I'll add a poll...
check now. Or
wait until tomorrow
only because I always wanted to add a poll lol but I will share watever happens!
Thanks and wish me luck and/or pray for me!!!!!!!
So I did not pass and now I have to take a well deserved break and get back into action because I will not let this failure keep me away from the goal of becoming a RN.Thank you all for responding and any advice is greatly appreciated!
Sorry to hear that. Don't get that bottle of scotch, but do go out with friends and celebrate your first battle.
Yea I will settle for my friend called vodka right now lol
I used hurst review and did some kaplan questions. I also got some study guides from this website along with some from online sources...I think i probably had too many sources and should have kept it simple like just using hurst and kaplan. Don't get me wrong, the review I got from here was fantastic as well as one I got from online.
What I did was study when I came home from work and on my off days which were Thursdays and Fridays for a month and a half and my last two weeks before the exam I studied in over drive...so maybe my brain was overloaded Idk.keep in mind that I was out of school since June of 2014 and I took my first nclex Dec 2014 so I think this time imma just take it ASAP!!!
They say when you fail after getting 265 that you really have came close to passing and kaplan says that if you got near passing (like i did after i tiok my first exam) on your CPR, which I'll be getting any day now, then you know your content but you really need to focus on how to critically think, which I can admit is my weak area. I know the content, I made sure of that, i mean im no genius obviously, but i know a good sum of content. However when I was reviewing my rationales to the questions I did while studying, I mainly got the answer wrong because I was either reading the question wrong, did not know what they were asking or just did not know how to answer it, so I need to practice snd master how to critically think in my opinion.
I think am am going to do is get the PDA book, u world and kaplan q bank since I only had a month subscription which already expired.
Do any body have any thoughts on the NCSBN review or the remar review? Or any other suggestions? I will study up side down if it will help right about now lol
