hello all! i need your help!!!
[color=#9acd32] i'm a newbie so i apologize if this has been asked previously..
[color=#9acd32]
[color=#9acd32]here's my plight : i graduated with a bs in pharm sci in may, 2004. however, i want to apply to nursing programs in massachusetts asap, but all the ones i've seen (umass/boston, curry) ; i missed the deadlines by a few months.
[color=#9acd32]i think the best route is an accelerated bsn/msn? route ...i know nu has one..perhaps simmons.
[color=#9acd32]-- but my undergrad sci classes were somewhat dismal, i'd range it b-/c range. is it hard to get into those programs?
[color=#9acd32]--hence, should i go for the cna/lpn route? i really want to be a np though, since i want the freedoms that go along with that. so is it bsn-msn-np to bc a np?
[color=#9acd32]i am worried bc pops thinks i'm lounging around like a bum, even though i want to pursue nursing. (he thinks it's too over-strenuous for me since i'm a petite one. )
[color=#9acd32]lastly,
[color=#9acd32]--is there any other nursing programs in the us whose deadlines i didn't miss??
[color=#9acd32]i really want to get out there, and do something with my life....i have always loved kids ..i've done the working at shelters bit to being camp counselor to underpriviledged kids ...so should i try something neonatal related??
[color=#9acd32]thanks for the advice in advance!!! i'm a yapper...but i sincerely need some guidance...but i want to make a firm decision. (any takers will be handsomely rewarded somehow. )

i would do an internet and phone book search of all the nursing programs in your area (that you are willing to commute to) Community colleges and universities. Call and get information on each one including the admission policies and selection dates and then you will know which route to go.

i really cannot answer your questions but i would not advise you to go the lpn route since you already have a b.s in pharmacy. i wish you the best in your decisions. pardon me but the color you posted in is a little bit painful for the eyes. no offense intended.:)
