Hello! So I am wanting to apply for CRNA school this spring and I have a gpa of 3.6. My lasy chemistry was in undergrad but it was fundamentals of chemistry which I got an A in. I'm not sure if I keep with the hassle of retaing chem 1 at one of my local community colleges like im doing or just drop it and go my undergrad chem. My question is will some schools take my A in fun chem (therefore I can drop the chem I am in right now? Or should I continue taking the chem I am in now (also nervous I'm going to get a B which could bring down my science GPA).

Depends on how old and if that course is equivalent to a General Chemistry class w/ lab. I would call some schools you're interested in applying to and ask them.

This is very program specific in my experience. One program I’ve applied to requires you to retake a Biochemistry focused course within five years at a 4-year university (not a community college). Another program ‘recommends,’ you to have taken a Fundamentals/Biochem course within the past five years, and doesn’t have a preference for where you take it.
So, contact the programs you want to apply to and ask them directly. Don’t waste time taking something that won’t help you.

If I do suggest that a student retakes a course, I tell them the following: If you do retake the course, be confident that you can get a good grade (A or B) in it. It hurts when you retake a course a get the same or lower grade.
