I am leaving my current employer as soon as a viable offer presents. I am loving my clinical world, but I hate the unethical internals that I witness bordering-on illegal. I found out that our program does not offer higher salary for BSN, or certification in CHPNA. Shocking, and enough totally to vacate.. and sooner the better.
I was presented today with an amazing sounding job offer. A nicer salary, benefits better, area better.. all sounds good. My current agency assigned me 18 patients solo as a Case Manager. I feel I might as well get paid better if I am carrying this census..
The offer came from Odyssey. I know I have heard bad stuff about past lawsuits, but this also has happened with every major nationwide hospice including Vitas and others.
I am asking for input :nurse::nurse::nurse::nurse: as a whole. I do love the idea of Continuous Care, ( something my program does not use.. and will not provide despite having over 150+ patients ) huge resources, tuition reimbursement and opportunity to grow.

I am soo glad to hear you like them! It's almost a too good sounding to be true environment! I am thankful they made an offer to me.. now on for the drug screen. :)

So Gentiva bought Odyssey! I didn't know. I was wondering why Gentiva was advertising for VistaCare when there is no longer any VistaCare in this area. Hopefully Gentiva will have better HR practices than Odyssey.
i know gentiva spent $1billion to acquire odyssey and vistacare. I know that corporate said we improved odyssey and vistacares' benefits. we get 160hr vacation/yr, that is nice, and once you have 5yrs plus, it goes to 200 hr vacation/yr
