Check with their equivalent of the Board of Nursing to find out requirements.
You will also need to deal with immigration for working there, usually handled by the employer.
There is no reason that it can't be done, but be aware that they may require you to write the exam in Chinese. Are you fluent in it?

Here's the link to some forms.
Thanks for responding... :) I am actually planning to go to HK for a 1.5 years because my husband is going to work there, not permanently relocate there, I do not speak Chineese, I know that I will need working visa opened in US prior to going there...But where to look for an employeer? that's the main question, and will I need to sit for the boards to work there?

Thank you for responding...I looked at forms, does that mean that I have to sit for exam in order to work there? I was looking for a travel nurse opportunity, in the english-speaking environment.

You more than likely will need to speak Chinese to take their boards. Same as if someone from there comes here to work, and in any other country in SE Asia, etc. The only way around that is to check out some of the US bases there. That is your only other option.
You need to be licensed in Hong Kong to work in any facility other than on a US base.
Same thing if you were to work in either Spain or France. You need to pass their boards. :)
You may be able to find some other jobs that can use your experience but don't require you to have a local license. But those are usually found once you are there and are familiar with the area.
Thanks a lot. I will look into this further, at least I can concentrate on US bses at this time. Thanks again for taking the time :)
