TO ALL PHOENIX COLLEGE ACCELERATED Studens

Published

I am in desperate need to know what the schedules look like for PC. Lecture?? Clinicals?? I got accepted into block one at a different school, but my hope is to transfer into the accelerated program next semester. Can any current accelerated students give me any info? What about the non-accelerated program at PC?? Is the clinical schedule chaotic. I do have to work so I need a fairly consistent (well...as consistent as nursing school can get:wink2:) schedule to work around however, I've taken all my prereqs at PC and I just feel more comfortable there. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I just graduated from PC in December from the traditional program. You really can't beat the schedule there... We had lecture Wed 8am-1pm and Clinical Mon OR Tues (class is split up) for 12 hrs. So 1 day of lecture and 1 day of clinical. I highly recommend PC. Most of the instructors are good and helpful... and everyone in our class who has taken the NCLEX so far has passed on the 1st try. I just passed mine last week.

I knew it:yeah:. That's why I love that school. Its totally geared towards working adults. And they have great instructors. Thanks for the info!

I just finished block one at PC. Our schedule was: Monday 7:30-12 (lecture), and then Wed AND Thurs about 7-2 (this was either lab or clinical days so the times fluctuated a bit). I will be starting block two next week and will have Monday and Wednesday class, and a twelve hour clinical one other day a week. I would highly recommend PC. The instructors are great and really seem to care about whether we pass or not.:wink2:

I'm just starting the traditional program at PC.

Traditional runs:

Tuesday Lab 8-2

Wednesday Clinical (varied times....early usually)

Thursday Lecture 2-6

Accelerated Block 1 runs:

Tuesday Clinical (varied time also I believe, but I think evenings)

Wednesday Lab 1-7 ish

Thursday Lecture (I think its the same hours as traditional)
