Titers and UDS taking forever to come back

Published

About how long did it take for you to get your results back?

It has been nearly two weeks since I had the blood drawn in my doctors office and since the UDS was done in an outside lab. I'm not worried about the results, more about the fact that these are deadline items (still a few weeks away). A quick call to my PCP the other day and they still have nothing.

My school uses a online website to upload documents to a check list and seeing all the bold red "Incomplete" alerts is driving me up the wall :banghead: I guess my fear comes from some idea that if I don't have those main requirements in ASAP that the school will give my spot to someone who could get it all done faster then I could.

Mine didn't take that long to come in, although I had mine done at a hospital that specifically worked with the students from my particular college. I still had mine done a month and a half earlier than I needed to because deadlines make me panic too.

I had mine done at my Drs office, blood work drawn on Monday and they had the results back on Thursday when I did my physical. Even with an outside lab results should have been back in less than two weeks. I would check and make sure that your stuff did not get misplaced somehow.

Mine came back in 2 days. I think my school uses the same website to upload the documents and I had a few red incomplete that were driving me crazy. Good luck and try to stay patient.

You still have a few weeks left? They don't even check it until the day it is due. It would be useless for them to check ahead of time. The lady in charge of my program goes in on the day it is due, and checks off each student that has complete by their name. Your doctor's office should have the results by now. Just explain to them you are on a time frame and somebody needs to find those results. My doc made a follow-up appt with me and he went over the results with me and anything I needed an immunization for I got that day. Your urine test went through an outside company right? You can call them but they usually don't know anything. One time one of mine took almost 3 weeks to come back. I was getting ready to go and take it again because I thought they lost it. The day before I was going to take it a second time, I got my email that it had been received finally. I was in at the same time as one of my classmates and his was back in 48 hours and mine took 3 weeks.

Mine results came back the same day.

Does your school use CertifiedProfile too? :) My bloodwork only took 24 hours to come back. However, I went to the Health Department, because I don't trust my PCP to get things done on time 😁

Yes, Certified Profile is what they have us using.

I recived the email alert for my lab titer results from my personal online patient portal and my Hep B and Varciella Zozter came back way low. I called my PCP and made them aware. The nurse I spoke to stated that they had the results about 2 days earlier and "someone" should have already called me. Anyways, I have to get boosters redone (possibly another series of the Hep B) and then they want to run Titers again in a few weeks to re check everything.

Drug screen lab report stillnot showing up on the to-do list but I have the chain of custody documents. I wish I could upload that but I don't have that option.

I know now the school isn't looking until their deadline ( Thank You poster & I called updating them of my concerns), but it still weighs heavy on my own pet peeve seeing things I know are complete but still marked incomplete in big bold alerts. I do feel better knowing they won't give my seat away :)

Thank you all for your replies.
