I know there are so many aspiring CRNA's who are dreading the interview day. Let's make this thread the most resourceful for interviewing questions.
So share interviewing questions that you had or maybe questions that your friends have had....
Let's keep it going......
Some of my colleagues had questions listed below:
Why do you want to be a CRNA?
Identifying Myocardial infarctions on a 12 lead EKG
What are appropriate interventions for cardiogenic shock?
Discuss a mistake you made and how you resolved it...
What increases ICP? What is the normal ICP?
Ok lets keep it going!!! SHARE YOUR QUESTIONS AND ADVICE!!!!!
Lets make this thread a one stop shop....
Keep checking back.......
I will frequently post questions as I find out......
Thank You
I think a good way to answer "What don't you like about your job?" is to turn it into basically an answer for "Why do you want to be a CRNA?" Examples: I don't like that I don't have autonomy, which I'd something I'm looking forward to gaining in my new role as a CRNA. Or, I don't like that I don't get to follow the pt from pre-op, to peri-op, to post-op and participate in their care at all levels like I would as a CRNA. And so on, like that.....

Thanks to those who posted helpful tips here. I think interviews were a huge weakness for me when I applied to schools this past fall. I am making a second attempt at applications this year and am trying to prep now for interviews.
Anyone have advice on how you would answer the following questions:
1) What don't you like about your job? I was asked this and couldn't think of an answer that didn't make me sound like whiny... I can't even remember what I ended up saying but I don't think it was anything good.
2) What is a good way to recover if they ask a clinical question and you can't answer?
Thanks
