4 more weeks to go of the first year of nursing. My emotions have been on such a roller coaster. I am tired and burned out. Hoping to make it through the last 4 weeks. Anyone else going through or gone through this?

The closer you are to an ending point, the tougher it feels like to get there...Just hang in there, you can do it! try to take some time for yourself, even if it's just a few minutes here or there...a cup of coffee while sitting under a tree, a quick nap before dinner...whatever. Do what you can to refresh and refuel so that you can make it through those last 4 weeks :)

ditto. im on the same page as you.. Im completely drained. And on top of it all my clinical teacher is making my last few weeks of clinical a nightmare. ugh. Im just ready for this semester to be done.
We just have to "keep swimming" only 4 more weeks.

Look at how far you have come!! I have 6 weeks left... WHOHOO! We are almost finished.( for this part anyhow!) Yes, it is so draining... I have found that taking a few hours to do something totally non- nursing school related helps me to unwind and get ready for the grind again. I have decided that missing a few hours of study time a week is NOT going to kill me! ( or my grade!) Take a minute to remember what you enjoy and go do it!
Kudos to you for almost being done!!

Good job! You made it this far! :) "Just keep swimming" as the above post said. It's not about the destination, it's the journey! So enjoy this time! Make use of the knowledge and have fun!
Ohh and take naps too!

Definitely feeling you on this! I finished 1.5 weeks ago, but I was completely burnt out by all the term papers due, and then headed straight into exams. It's not fun.
I found one thing that can help is to go out for lunch or dinner with a friend while you take a study break. It's a good way to fit in a social refresher, and you would (or atleast, should!) be taking the time to eat anyway.

I know the feeling. And I just got a week off
I think it's a combination of that I didn't get enough time off. I've listened to too many people complain about how HARD this class is (first part of medsurge). We lost a couple of people in our class because of the final, and that has me down (even though one of them I really have no sympathy for b/c the person wasn't doing what needed to be done in order to pass).
I have 8 more weeks, then a summer break that's longer than a week. And I just have to keep telling myself that. AND I'm almost halfway there (it'll be halfway about the time we go on break- we graduate sometime in June 2011)
And I'm trying to take care of myself.
1 day at a time
