Tips for PNP certification exam?

Ok, it's scheduled for mid-July. I'm taking the acute care PNP exam but I'll take any advice on preparing and taking either PNP exam. I've been using two PNP exam prep books. Does anyone recommend NAPNAP's course or the $75 PNCB prep course?

TIA!

I did both NAPNAP's online course and the PNCB prep course (which were practice exams that then gave you rationales for the right answer). I did primary care though, so just keep that in mind. I liked the online course--it broke it down into very small parts, which made it easier to remember as I wasn't looking at so much at once. That coupled with my study guides was very helpful and I didn't find there was anything on the exam that I knew absolutely nothing about--which was great in my opinion! The PNCB prep course was also nice, but more for my piece of mind that I did a practice test using something from the company that I was actually taking the test from and also it was nice to have the rationales as not all my practice questions in other prep books had that.

Hope that helps!

This is very helpful, thank you! A coworker/classmate purchased the NAPNAP and we're going to study together. The days are ticking down!

Besides PNCB questions n napnap review which other guides you used to pass?? Thanks!!

i used those mentioned, a pediatric primary care case study book and my text book, the Orange pediatric board certification review book, which has test questions at the end of the chapter, NAPNAP's review book (this is all questions and kind goes along with NAPNAP's online review, and Barkley's review recordings. I saved the pncb's review questions and Barkley's recordings until the end to tie everything together.
