Tips for getting NCLEX results asap

Published

I'm from PA and I just took the NCLEX the other week and I passed. I came home right away and got on the pearsonvue website and tried to re-register and I received a pop-up saying a test has already been scheduled. Therefore, the pearsonvue trick worked for me!

Another trick to find out the results of your test is to log on to the dept of the state website for the state you registered the NCLEX with, and look at the status of your license. I took the NCLEX on a Tuesday afternoon and logged on to the dept of the state website early Wednesday morning and found out I passed because it said license status: active and had my RN license number listed. Before I took the NCLEX, it said license status: pending. I would definitely recommend trying this first before paying $8 to pearsonvue and having to wait 48 hours for the quick results. I suppose every board of nursing is different for every state, but PA was super fast and had my results up less than 24 hours after I took the test and I didn't have to pay the $8 to pearson vue to find out!

Guess georgia not as fast. Took mine yesterday too. Did the trick and got the popup (which did help me calm down some). Just still having anxiety!

A BIG CONGRATS TO YOU FOR PASSING. BIG ACCOMPLISHMENT.

On hold means that your results are on hold and it is not indicative of pass or fail. It could be a random audit it could've in response to an incident at the testing center such as writing on the white board before the tutorial was over, getting up without raising your hand or a more serious infraction such as accessing your cell phone on a break. Most holds are up within about 48 hours. Then you can check your results (or quick results if your state participates)

Thanks for your respond and congratulations all new RN. :yelclap:

I took my NCLEX-RN test on Saturday 09/08/12 at 08.00 am. Still there test result on hold message. That test day, I don't have any computer and power problems. I did not break any rules. My computer shut down on 75, which is I did not expected. I am so nervous last weekends and I called today morning and they said my test result will be ready Wednesday.

Sometimes if you finish quickly your test is audited to ensure that all procedures were followed and that there are no discrepancies. They review audio, video, keystrokes, facility logs. It's happened before, if there are no issues you don't have anything to worry about. Since you tested on Saturday, that adds an additional delay since it seems that QA (quality assurance) doesn't work weekends. Hang in there, hurry up and wait is the hardest task of them all!!! Maybe you'll get a nice surprise and your results will release tomorrow...
