Timeline For Verifying CA License to Another State?

Since California is not a Nursys state, I had to send them a paper verification form provided by Connecticut to endorse my license there. I mailed the form on Jan. 31 with a check for the $60 fee. As of today, I noticed that the check has yet to clear my bank.

How long have any of you waited to see a check clear for a California verification and how long did it take for the verification to be completed? I am wondering if the long delays in initial applications are also affecting verifications. I mean seriously, how long does it physically take to verify a license and complete the form? Minutes? Or am I stuck in a pile? I know the website says 8-10 weeks for processing, but that's insane.

Thanks for all replies!

There is another thread about this that is very detailed. I don't know how to link it for you. It has several different post from those including myself who endorsed into california. It does take a long time. I started in August, waited for finger print card, got it the end of October and sent it with everything else back the same week. I got my license in January. It does take a while.

You misunderstand. I'm not applying for a California license by endorsement. I know about those threads.

I already have my California license. I endorsed there almost 2 years ago. I'm now trying to endorse into Connecticut and need verification of my California license to Connecticut so I had to complete a paper verification and sent it to California. I haven't seen a thread specific to my issue.

Thanks for your reply tho.

I just sent my form in as well for CA verification to get a license in another state. Have is gone through for you yet? Hope so! Let me know how long it took if so! Thanks!

I ended up calling the CA BON around April 5 (called as soon as they opened) and they told me that they had mailed out the verification to CT on March 30. Sure enough the next day my permanent CT license was issued.

So it basically took two months! Ack! 😛

Oh man. Thanks for the feedback!
