Time limit for completing NCLEX exam

Published

Hi,

I have completed my Nursing graduation from India on Feb 2009. I got married and came to USA and I am currently living with my husband in Texas. (I am in H4 visa)

I DO NOT have any work experience and I was preparing for the NCLEX exam. Mean while I got pregnant and I am expecting a baby by this year end.

My question is, is there any time limit by which I should have completed NCLEX exam after my graduation? The reason I am asking is, if I wait for delivery then by the time I'll be ready for the exam would be around January/February 2011.

But by Feb 2011, it would be 2 years since I graduated and without any work experience so I am concerned about the time limit for writing the NCLEX exam (if any).

Please let me know if there is any time limit for completing the NCLEX exam after graduation and without any work experience.

Regards

Shyamala Devi.

GO TO THIS LINK https://www.ncsbn.org/nclex.htmL ALSO GOTO PEARSONVUE.COM/NCLEX .THIS WILL GIVE YOU THE COMPLETE INFORMATION. DONT WORRY ABT UR TIME LIMIT.FIRST U GO THROGH U WILL UNDERSTAND

Check with the state where you would be getting your license. For the most part, there are no time limits, but some states do have one. As I recall, in Texas, you must pass the NCLEX within four years of your graduation. So, it is specific to the state where you will get licensed. Do not wait too long. Of course, you know the longer you wait, the more difficult passing the test will be. Good luck.

Thanks for ur information.I checked with the Texas state board of Nursing website since I plan to get license here in Texas. They mentioned that We should pass Nclex within 4 yrs of graduation as caliotter3 says. Now I am cleared. Thank u once again

Hi timar , I copied the link below. Just go through 6 © .I believe, it will answer your question. I booked my RN exam on Nov 17. I suppose to pass the exam before feb 2013. how is your process going? which country are you from? where do you live in texas? I am not able to sent the private msg.

: Texas Administrative Code

thanku for ur response indnur87. here is my email address [email protected] i will wait your email.

If you are in H4 you need a EAD to work right.according to me you can apply for any course like MSN where the university gives you F1 visa.by having F1 visa you can work.As you have ur RN,you are eligible to apply for MSN.For that they need your Bsc trancripts evaluated by a evaluating agency like Wes.. World Education Services - International Education Intelligence.

,the university i know is University of South Alabama Homepage

they are offering F1 visa...pls find this useful.

god bless u shamala

i think in CA no time limit
