Time label for IV bag

I know....must new fangle nurses don't do this any more with the use of electronic IV pumps, but this nursing student need to know how to properly label the time label to be placed on the bag. The readings on the bag are as follows:

I have calculated my 1000 mL of D5NS to run over 8 hr time period to be 125 ml/hr. how will I label the bag with time? Any help is much appreciated. My start time is 0900.

If the start time is 0900 the end time will be 1700....right? The half way point is.....1300...right. So.......0900 is at 0 because you just began the bag and no fluid has infused. Half way means 500 cc has infused right so that is at the 5 mark, right? So you need to have 500cc infused by 1300....right? The bag is complete at 1700 so that @1600 your bag would be at the 9 with approx 900 cc's infused while you get the next bag to replace it and the rest has infused.

Thank you, I was trying to label every tick and it just wasn't working out and trying to put 1700 at the 900 mL which really didn't make sense either....now to go figure out how to label 83 mL/ h with the same logic plus I will practice in clinical this week to really mess with my primary nurse....she likes to say....oh you don't need to know that....maybe not as a real nurse but I need to know it for test purposes. Think (but don't overthink!): 0---125---250---375---500---625---750---875---1000-- those are where you'd put your marks for 125/hr.
