Hi all! I was wondering who will be applying to TCC in Portsmouth for Spring 2020 admit. Wondering what you got on the HESI as well as if you finished any pre reqs/co reqs and GPA with those. Thanks and good luck!

Hi Everyone,

Congratulations to everyone who was accepted into the program! I will be starting my last semester of the RN program in the spring. If anyone has any questions about the program feel free to message me. Good luck!

Thank you. Any studying techniques you found useful. That’s what I struggle with, studying.

@CNA2RN31 For me the biggest thing is staying on top of the reading. Your first semester you will be taking 4 classes so there will be tons of reading. I always try to read the chapters at least twice. I make flashcards for things like definitions and lab values. On a side note your nursing exams will never straight up ask you to define a term or state a normal lab value but in order to answer the questions you will need to know that information. Aside from staying on top of the reading doing practice problems is huge. NCLEX style questions are very different then what you encountered during pre-reqs. The more you expose yourself to that style of testing the better. Not sure if they still use it but we were required to get Passpoint and it's amazing for doing questions. Also I have an app it's called RN Mentor and it's really good for generating short quizzes on various subjects.

Did anyone who applied for 2020 fall semester receive a letter yet

I have something coming today according to the daily digest for the mail. It’s just a regular sized envelope and knowing from last time it’s a denial letter. If you were accepted it’s a 8*11 Manila envelop. Good luck.
