Hey everyone! I'm turning in my application this July for the spring 2017 start! I'm so excited! However I will have one class in progress (microbiology) and was wondering if anyone knows if this will hurt my chances of getting accepted. I'm going to take my HESI mid June so I don't have that score yet! Any help or advice is appreciated!

For 2017 Fundamentals... Read your textbooks NOW. Make your own notes NOW. You must know the book in and out. No excuses. There is no study guide. Take NCLEX style practice questions as much as you can. Know vital signs and skills at heart. Do not procrastinate. Expect the unexpected. Goodluck!

Hi everyone! Happy holidays =). I start with cohort 4 in March so I was curious if someone could direct me in where to find the nursing school handbook that has requirements about the shoes and etc? Thanks in advance!

They add you to the organization on Blackboard and the handbook is located in there. Through first glance I saw no mention of clinical uniform except the uniform in the bookstore, but nothing about shoes. I was going to go to the local uniform shop and see if they can point me in the right direction.

I just purchased my textbooks and scrubs for NUR108...I FEEL SICK :eek: Does anyone know if the books will be this expensive every semester???

My head was spinning after I left the bookstore and they didn't even have the skill package when I went. I can't believe our books are that expensive and it's not even an actual textbook. I pray books are not that expensive every 8 weeks.

I'll be going there tomorrow--you can get a list of the books on black board for each semester--I think I totaled up almost 1000 bucks for the whole semester---í ½í¸¥

I went to get my books--for the fundamental of nursing 8th edition---did you get a book with it? The gut at the bookstore said it didn't come with one???

No book either. Not sure if I can work without an actual textbook. I found the textbook on Amazon used for $50.

another question on the books:

nur130 class--pharmacology, I got the 7th edition, on BB on the SON list, it says 6th edition? I am soo confused!! also, when I got the nursing kit, the guy at the book store, asked me which one---?? I don't know--the one that's for 150.00?! I am stressing
