Tidewater Community College RN program fall 2014

Hi! I was wondering, are there anyone here that are trying to apply for TCC's RN program this fall 2014? How are the applications going?

@meloda did the hesi go deep into a&p 2? I feel like there could be so much from a&p especially with a&p 1

I felt like they tried to go into a little bit from each body system. Since you learn a lot of the systems in a&p 2 it is definitely helpful but if you get a couple of study guides you should be fine. It was just an overview though in my opinion nothing too deep.

Does anyone know if the course evaluation is needed for students who only attended tcc?? Also, is the nursing info session mandatory?

I know the info session is mandatory. Not sure what you mean about the course evaluation though.

So I spoke the head advisor today and explained to her how I didn't attend the info session but I told her I completed all my prereqs so she granted me the opportunity to still apply but I must attend the next info session in March. But come to find out, I went up to the school and spoke to another advisor and explained to her how I was retaking my english courses to better my chances. As of now, I will be done with eng111 for the first 8wks but taking eng112 the next 8wks. Since I'm doing that she said it would be best to apply for the next start in July for the spring start so that all my grades will be up to date. So that's what I'm going to do unless I can speak to the head advisor and see what she recommends...

So I just turned in my application today, the wait begins on the 15th! eyvis91 did you end up applying?

Well I spoke to the advisor and she said I should still apply so I am! I'm scheduled for my hesi on the last day which is actually the 17th not the 15th, she said they extended the date since the 15th fell on a Saturday. So I'm turning in my app on test day. right now I'm just gathering my papers! :)
