Tidewater Community College Nursing Student Hopefuls Fall 2014

Hi to all who have applied to the Beazley School of Nursing/Tidewater Community College for the Fall 2014 Cohorts.

It will be nice to meet all who applied, and to lean on each other during this time of waiting for acceptance letters!!! I wish the best to all who applied and hope to meet you here and in class when classes start in October/November of 2014.

I have been through the application process already for the Spring 2014 Cohorts, and am currently on the Alternates list until classes start in March. I have also attended the mandatory orientation, ordered uniforms and the skills kit. I have a little information that you may find useful.

I submit my application on Monday. I am so praying that I get in this time around! I already scheduled my physical Dr. appointment for June :-)

I look forward to meeting you. When did you apply last? This is my second time around - still on the alternate list for march - but I am not holding my breath that a seat opens up. It will be a long wait until may when they start sending out letters for the fall cohorts. Keep in touch and let me know how your progress is going. I assume you have taken the HESI and have most if not all of your pre-reqs done? Good luck and I have my fingers crossed for you

This is my first time applying I have all my prereqs done except ethics but I hope they accept my philosophy course for that. I just took the Hesi last week and got a.90.57 so I'm hopeful I get in!

That is a pretty good score on the HESI. If your grades are mostly A's (a couple of B's won't hurt, especially if not in the sciences) then you should be fine. I am just hanging out waiting until March 12 (the next big Alternate update) to see if a seat does open up for March...otherwise, I am in the waiting game until the letters come out sometime in May.

I have all of my pre-reqs done and scored pretty well on the HESI as well. I have all A's and 2 B's, however, the B's were in Micro and BIO 141....B's in the sciences hurt. Just really tired of this waiting game...ready to get on with it.

I am planning to apply for Spring 2015 and I am curious what some of you that got in scored on your HESI?? I know that you only need 45% to apply but I'm assuming that is not what students who are actually accepted are getting! So what did y'all get??

Hey guys did you see that TCC will be offering an evening/weekend program in the spring. I'm definitely going for that if I don't get in this time. I have to pay out of pocket for school so this is a great way for me to keep my current job.

Yup! She told us back in March when I went for orientation but I'm praying that I get in for the fall start. But it would be nice to save up some more money too so that I can cut back on work.

Hi, just trying to find any info about acceptance letters for the fall 2014. When should we expect them? I called TCC twice,didn't get any specific answer. Thanks.

Hi everyone - check your mail I received my acceptance letter today for cohort 1 August 25 start date foe first class. Good luck everyone. Let us know so we know who we are going to be going through??????? Together for the next two years!!! Good luck
