i just wanted to start a thread so that we can let each other know when we start getting acceptance letters. this is a very s...l...o...w...time waiting through june, possibly july to find out how to schedule the rest of the year!
they just want you to have 2 out of 3 of the sciences (A&P 1, 2, and micro) i did A&P 1 and micro (because micro covered the chem requirement as well) so i followed all their requirements to a T. i had everything they required before applying finished by the spring semester. like, if i had taken a chem class(within the last 6 years), and both A&Ps, then i could apply without taking micro.my math and english credits all transferred in, so i had a total of 10 points or something so i could apply. (eng=A/B, A&P1=B, micro=A)
they never sent me a letter saying i had an incomplete application because it was a complete application. high school transcripts and all. i mulled over their checklist and emailed the department a ridiculous amount of times so it would be complete.
Well that's good, I hope you get in! Did you ask if you'd be able to take A&P 2 later? I only ask because my friend. They said that what's in the nursing packet and what they actually accept are different. Did you talk to the program director? If so, that's exciting and I hope you get some good news soon. I wasn't trying to be mean so I really hope you didn't take it that I way. I just had a friend that was going by the packet and went to the information session and everything, and then after the fact when she talked to the director they said they'd only consider those that had everything unless there were extra spots. Good Luck to you!

well, i know for micro, you either need that or a chem credit...so that might be why it was misunderstood...
i went to an info session back in november and the lady gave 50 examples of what 2 sciences you could have.
what was (is) you gpa if you dont mind my asking?
i figure if they called you because they didn't think the letter would get to you on time, they must be getting in the mail shortly and perhaps by the end of the week i'll get a letter...
no one else has posted on blackboard or here that they got accepted, yet. i am just uber excited that someone finally found out!
(i didn't think you were being mean in your response, i was just trying to answer all the parts of it. if i did miss something on my application, than i will be pretty surprised. i know that at the meeting she said one reason they like it to be so difficult is to see if you can follow directions...)

My gpa is 3.776 with 85 credits.
Congrats to both of you that got in. I went to the orientation today. I got to sign up for my first nursing class, yay. Just a bit of info: You are required to have health insurance while in the program. Also the uniforms are really, really pricey, ugh!
ugh, health insurance! that's okay i guess...i'm in the nurse aid class right now, so hopefully i'll have it offered through my next job. one way or another, i'll need it.
tell me more about this uniform cost/where do they come from?/color? are they white? i have to wear all white scrubs for the cna class, and i feel like a giant marshmallow.
