Tidewater Community College 2012 Hopefuls?

Just wondering if anybody is considering TCC... they had two application periods for the fall semester.. december 1st (2011) deadline and march 15 deadline (2012).. im applying in the march group but I know I can't be the only one on the board considering it..

Well summer is over...Got a B in Micro. Ive completed all pre reqs and took the hesi last week. I took my application up to the portsmouth office. It was so funny when i went in the office and said im here to turn in my nursing application the lady said oh, its the 15th already ? ...I thought that was too funny. anyway i think my app might have been the first one in the office...so now its time to play the waiting game. Im so nervous but excited at the same time I pray that all goes well. Ill keep you posted. Im hoping the Hesi is not as important as the grades are because i could have done a lot better . For those of you who went to the Camp Nightingale did you find it useful?? I actually enjoyed talking to everyone. Cohort 2 seems like we are going to mesh together well. Someone was gonna do a facebook page but I haven't heard anything yet. Can't wait to start putting names and faces together.

I am glad you guys got something good out of Camp Nightingale. I was one the SNA members speaking. Not going to say which one... but it might be easy to figure it out. :)

Really hope you guys do get a facebook group for your cohort, it was truely amazing in getting my cohort together.

@ivikatasha do the classes ever run past the scheduled times? I'm trying to work from 3pm to 11 during the week but not sure if its going to be possible. I am hoping its like the labs in bio 141 where u can leave early if u want

They can run past..... However, more often than not they will end early or there will be an hour or 2 of open lab to work on your skills.

In 130 my professor had to cancel one class and to make up for it she extended lecture by hour one day a week for like the last 4 weeks of class.

So I've got 83 overall, I got so scrud in vocab i made a horrible score they brought my score so low I've made 98 in math and 95 on the science portion.I guess cuz English is my 3rd language, I hope they will look more into my science then English. Gonna apply tomorrow so let the wait BEGIN

They don't base it entirely on the HESI score, your gpa and the classes you've taken also come into play.. and then they look at averages and all that based on your particular application pool so its hard to say "if" you have a chance.. just be positive.
