Tidewater Community College-hopefuls application July 2014

Published

This is a new tread for anyone applying July 15, 2014 for TCC Nursing program.

9 days left. By the way keep an eye on your mail this week, just in case notices were sent out earlier than the 15th. Good luck everyone!!!

Yup I sure am! Praying we all make it through!

I hope it does come early so I can finally exhale. Praying for a blessing.

I called today for an update on the night and weekend schedule. I was told that they are looking at Monday- Saturday from around 5:00pm until around 9:30 or 10:00pm. I was shocked because I thought it was going to be different but I will be thankful to get accepted into either cohort.

Yea it's even listed on the upcoming class schedule too

Today I called for the first time, and asked what day are they gonna send the letters, and if they were gonna be send before time. They said they are gonna be send till the 15. Well ladies, and gentleman we are 7 days away from the day (plus shipping time).

This is gonna be the last weekend without knowing; no more uncertainty. Next weekend, some will be looking to buy books, and asking about the most comfortable shoes, the cohort their in, looking into CPR classes. It is mind blowing.

By Wednesday letters will be out; we will be searching like crazy through the mail. The mailman will be the most expected man for the nursing hopefuls. I cannot wait to read the first post saying, "i got the letter, I'm in . Once again good luck to all my nurse hopefuls, and hopefully co-students at Tidewater Community College, Spring 2015.

I know the wait is driving me crazy! I already applied to ODU's concurrent option just in case I make it in for the spring. I've been emailing the advisor at odu like crazy too lol! I'll take either January or March, I don't care. I'm just ready to start but I'm still praying my way through it all! :)

Eyvis91, is the concurrent program with ODU only for people seeking a second degree?

No they took that requirement off. As long as you're in a partnered RN program with ODU, you should be good.

Awesome! If I get accepted I will definitely consider that. Thanks!

I was actually considering that, until i talked to two friend that are currently at the RN program at TCC. The first class is 6 credit hours, and is really hard is you get 2 grades under 80, they kick you out of the program. I really want to be smart about it. Why would you fight for an BSN when you can get kicked out of the RN. Think about it!

The RN programs is barely a year and a half, you get offer jobs all the time while doing your practice, and they can hire you, get the experience and obtain your BSN. Every head is a different world.
