Tidewater Community college future nursing student!

Published

Hey everyone! I just currently finished my second try at A&P 1 during a 6 week summer class and I ended up getting a C in the class. My first attempt I had to drop because of many personal things going on all at one time. Now my question is, do I still have a good chance of getting accepted to the nursing program if I have 1 C? I still have BIO 142 and 150 to take and if I do well in those and my only c is in A&P 1 will I be okay? I really don't want to take the class for a 3rd time and I'm just so bummed about the grade! Any help or advice would be wonderful! Thanks!

Yes you can but it also depends on the applicant pool. I got in with a C in micro and As and Bs in everything else. So just make sure your other grades can balance that out along with a good hesi score :)

Hello all! I am also going to be applying to Tidewater CC's nursing program! :) I have completed all of the required courses, except for Ethics and SDV 101. I plan on taking both this coming Fall, but I am concerned that not having these courses completed will hurt my chance of being accepted into the Spring 2016 program. Were any of you all accepted into the program with a few classes still in progress? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you so much!

I also will have a class in progress (BIO 142) and am working my butt off taking micro, A&P, ethics, and statistics currently during summer session. I'm a crazy person. But I'm hoping it'll all be worth it for earlier admission if I make good grades.

Micro is a difficult class, so I think that C may be ok if it's alongside other good grades. Eyvis is right, it'll all depend on the applicant pool.

Best of luck and I hope we both make it in!
