Tidewater Community College Fall 2021

Published

Hi everybody. This forum is for friendly discussion for those who are applying to Tidewater community college's nursing program for fall 2021. Good luck!

Gotcha. Yeah HESI score is critical! LOL I really wish it’s below 80 for the next cycle! The critical thinking doesn’t count.

Ah OK, I wasn’t sure if it did LOL. I’m hoping for that as well! TCC is the only one I have all the pre reqs done for. I would need to take chem for sentara or ODU ?

I submitted mine along with my application but I agree I would confirm with --------------------------.

I saw on TCC website that they are adding Statistics class as a pre-req for Jul-Aug 2021 applicants.

Kaitlyn- since you finished co-req, I think you have a good chance of getting in this time!! My HESI is score is so close with the 45th percentile.

I saw that as well! Hoping for the best

Oh wow. Yea I actually decided this upcoming semester to take statistics and Chemistry. I never took it in high school and will need it to transfer to odu later for my bachelor's. I have been working on those classes while waiting to get accepted to tcc's program.

I tried taking chem at tcc but all the classes were closed. It only showed two chem classes and they were full. I only need chem and sociology for ODU

Hello, I will be submitting an application for the fall 2021 cohort. This will be my first time applying, what resources did you all use to study for the HESI?

Hi, I used elsvier exam review book! It has all information you need so, I didn’t use other resources. What pre-req classes did you take so far?

I'm transferring credits to tcc from a previous degree and my advisor informed me that a&p1 was over 6 years old and would need to be taken again. I think I'll either take a&p2 or Microbiology in the Spring to get some corequisites out of the way.

Yeahhh TCC nursing requires science classes to be less than 6 years old. The more you complete co-reqs, the more you increase the chance of getting in!!

I really recommend Professor --------------------- for anatomy if you haven't signed up yet. He is really good and really fair about grades.
