Tidewater Community College Fall 2016

Hey everyone! I wanted to make a new thread for anyone applying now for Fall 2016 start.? I am finishing up my last prerequisite class this semester and I will be taking the HESI exam this week.

I'm applying to Sentara this semester as well. I absolutely love their program and that you get a bachelor's instead of an associates. i have looked at other programs but they usually require a first level biology (like Bon Secours program). I looked at Paul D Camp but I don't remember why I said I didn't want to apply. It was something about the classes as well. Riverside just remodeled their program but I believe it's only a night/weekend program.

Thats true, I was actually planning on doing TCCs concurrent program! Were you thinking about that as well?

I'm so excited that we are about to be in the month of April so we should hear back soon. I'm still a little nervous about getting in the program because I scored a 77 on my Hesi and even though I finished all of my pre-reqs prior to applying I got all B's in my sciences.

I'm excited, nervous, anxious and all of the above! Time really flew by fast. I understand how you are feeling @lkendra31 I am missing one pre-requisite class so I'm a little nervous about that. Its great that you have all of yours done. Less than 3 weeks left and the wait will be over.

@Ssathis1 I considered doing the concurrent program as well but at this point I am unsure. There so many other pre-requisite classes for the concurrent program that I need. Maybe I can start it in my second year if that's an option.

Does anyone know when they are supposed to send out the letters?

They are sending out letters no later than April 15 so we may get some a little after that date.

To everyone: please let us know when you receive your letter! I have been told you get a letter regardless if you're accepted or not. Good luck!

Hey everyone! I also applied for the fall 2016.... Although im not sure if ill get in or not. I did not have all of the pre/co reqs completed. I am finishing up all but micro this semester and taking micro in the summer, but I did score a 91 on my HESI.... so im riding on that to get me in... guess we will see in another week or so...
