Hey everyone! I wanted to make a new thread for anyone applying now for Fall 2016 start.? I am finishing up my last prerequisite class this semester and I will be taking the HESI exam this week.

Hi! I also applied for the fall start. This is my second time applying, by the way :blink: I just finished 3 more classes last semester and got A's in them so hopefully that improves my chances a bit. My pre-reqs are all done now. I didn't re-take the HESI though, which I only got an 82 on. I wanted to let you know that the letters will all be sent out all together. It also took the WHOLE time for them to deliver the letters. I believe it even took a few days over the two months mark. We kept calling them around the dead line and they'd beat around the bush saying "letters will be sent out soon." over and over so there's not much hope in squeezing that info out of them;) good luck to everyone!!

Hi Scoontz ! I believe you have a great chance of getting in. You have all pre-reqs done and a good HESI score. Im a little nervous since I am still finishing up my last pre-req which is A&P 2. I got an 88 on my HESI so im hoping that will help my chances of getting in...Quick question, the first time you applied, how many pre-reqs did you have done? Just curious.

I was missing ENG 112 and BIO 150 but had the other ones done. But don't be nervous! You have an extremely strong HESI score. I just wish I would've taken the time to study for mine!

Wow, I'm surprised you didn't get in the first time. I have heard of people getting in with unfinished pre-reqs and HESI scores in the 70s. Thanks, I am riding on my HESI score to get me in. I think you did great considering you didn't get the time to study.

Ok thanks for the input. I figured they would send the letters all together. I am so anxious to see if I got accepted (I know you are as well). I really hope you get in this time around! I have a BS Biology and have 2 prerequisites that I am taking right now. I have all other prerequisites complete but they are not all A's or B's. I got an 87 on my HESI. So I hope I get in! I have heard you need all A's and and high HESI because of so many applicants. Good luck!

Hi FutureRN0425! I know I am so anxious! I hope we all get in! You did well on your HESI. I know they look at those science courses and the HESI score the most. But I have heard many different things from different people as far as what they had and got in, so we just wait... Good luck!

Nurse__Mindy Thanks, so did you! I had to cram for the HESI test in 2 days. Yes I am aware they look mainly at your HESI score and science courses. I made sure I did well on those. I have A's and B's in all pre-reqs and I'm pushing for an A or B in this last one. And yes I agree, all we can do is just wait at this point. :nailbiting:

Does anyone know the average HESI score or GPA they accept? I heard they were raising the minumin GPA to 3.5

I can't believe we are less than a month from hearing back!

Has anyone applied to any other programs? Im trying to figure out whether I should apply to Sentara or not.
