Tweety glad the internet is back and his cataract surgery went well

Stars I can understand that feeling, must be draining to have to care for someone who is increasingly debilitated and that you don't really like

Work initially was kinda crazy.  Started early due to all I had to do. Had a meeting in the morning and had to work on a side project, in addition to my usual work.  And they were doing repairs on the condo building so I also had to deal with a lot of noise.  Was a bit aggravating

By the afternoon it was calmer, most of the work was done and the repair work was done too, so it was quieter. Didn't do much in the evening, was going to exercise but was too tired.  Went to bed early

Today I think should be less crazy.  Will exercise after work but other than that have nothing planned

Will be be cooler today, in the mid 50s

12 noon once again. CG arrives around 1:30 PM. I have to go pick up a refill at the pharmacy (or as we in my family call it, the 'FRAMM-ISSEY') The only other duty I have to do is collect all the trash and take the bins out to the end of the driveway later on in the day. There is the possibility I will put away all my clean, folded clothes. Would like to clean out and toss away a lot of things that I have saved 'just-in-case', but have not used in months and months. But, we'll see how the day pans out for me. Right now Tinker is waiting patiently for me to slip her harness on her and let her drag me around the yard, as is our usual morning outing, And then, of course, the Nannie-routine will have to commence. (woot?)

I hope my extreme funk from the past few days is winding down to a dull roar. I can't tell yet how I feel , other than tired. It took me an hour last night to wind down from the irritation of the day. I could enjoy feeling GOOD for a change; I would LOVE to have a good belly laugh over something, but ya can't force that. I TRIED yesterday to make my brain let go of the grumbling, but wasn't particularly successful, so today it will be 'try-try-again'.

Hello all!

Nothing new here.  Dh's ankle continues to improve.  EWWWWW, Time Change is this weekend!  I didn't sleep well at all, probably 3-4 hours after 7 am.  Just returned from a short trip to the grocery store.  I think I will have my daily lunch salads sans lettuce.  I will usually chop red cabbage, tomatoes, radishes, pepperoncini (and 2 tsp of the pickling juice), pickled beets, and cucumber.  Throw in 3/4 cup cottage cheese, some S&P.  Sometimes parmesan cheese (sometimes dh and I call it paramecium cheese, LOL).  Sometimes a sprinkle of salad seasoning.  Lettuce is so hard to "keep" looking good, and doesn't really add much to the salad, IMO.  So, yeah, I won't worry about getting lettuce for a bit.

Ooooo, I did get some Rose's Lime Juice and low-calorie tonic water.  Those two are tasty when mixed together (without alcohol)!  I like it every now and then.  Guess this is one of those times!

As stated earlier, not much here to report.  Have a good evening!

Did not put away my clean clothes. I did throw away a bunch of stuff I'd been saving but have not used for a long time. Did not have any kind of laugh, belly, or otherwise. Nannie was talking all through the news stories, and also making comments about people's styles of clothes and makeup and their various sizes/weights, and looks. (YAWN!) And she insists on ALWAYS calling my attention to Tinker walking around sniffing and looking for crickets and she once caught little lizard also. I really don't need to be alerted to the fact she is following me or walking around the house, which she ALWAYS does. My gahd, she is a dog and those are doglike behaviors. That and how many times a day do I have to hear her say, "He is a precious little puppy." HE is a she and she is full-grown, which I don't expect her to remember, but the sheer # of TIMES she says it.....ARGH!

SiL said she would come by in the AM and get Nannie up and dressed and take her to daycare. Hallelujah! (But, I will still have to pick her up around 4:30 PM.)

PS: Hubby didn't like lettuce either; he always called it "lebbidge". Loved the way you pronounce parmesan as 'paramecium' 🤣

Blurgh. I haven't accomplished much today. Dogs got walked and I put a couple of books in the "Little Library" across the street. They are little cabinets that people put up close to the sidewalk to exchange books. We seem to accumulate them and dh hates to part with them. He is happy if he thinks someone else can enjoy them.

I worked on revising my newsletter. I washed and cooked the last of the garden carrots for the dogs. I watched another episode of Downton Abbey. I am starting the last season. 😞

Here is a picture of a cute mushroom I saw on our walk today.

Good evening.

Cute mushroom.

Dianah you salad sounds good.  I rarely eat salads.  Best friend eats them and I'll eat one at his house is he makes it.  :).

Work was okay.  Tomorrow we're short a nurse so I'll have an assignment.  Bleh...too much to do when I have patients and something has to give.

It's noticeably cooler here.  No air conditioner needed.

I rarely give away books too.  I have some unread I should just donate because I'm in a book club and get one every month and won't read them.  Or I could just buy more bookshelves.  LOL
