Tweety it's understandable that he might be depressed

Ado I was also always taught to use the hand brake

Stars I get those moods to throw stuff out, but more often I just shove in a drawer or closet

Stomach was acting up yesterday, as was my anxiety.  Both are probably related, though it was a fairly calm day at work.  I think it was anxiety over this trip.  I notice that often my anxiety gets transferred from what directly worries me to something else tangentially related.  A fairly common process I think

Yesterday itself was fine at work, nothing unusual.  Did the grocery shopping afterwards.

Today should be more of the same, don't expect anything out of the ordinary at work.  Not much to do after work except do more packing and exercise.

Am feeling a bit more excited that the trip is tomorrow.  Wish J could join but he's still battling allergies and as a result not sleeping well.   Though going by myself is less complicated

Will be in the mid 70s today,  might get some rain.  Will be in the mid 50s tomorrow, might get some rain then too

I am home from my cardio version. It seems to have worked, hopefully it lasts more than a couple of days. It looks like I got burned again, and the skin on my chest stings. Oh well. I didn't sleep well again last night and I am so tired. The weather is mild and smoky. Hopefully I can sleep tonight and start prepping for our camp trip on Friday. dh seems to be adjusting to not being in charge. He is doing some work on the computer, but yesterday he had time to go for a blood draw, and go to the dentist, and get the fixings and make dinner. He will have to do his dinner tonight too.

Jumpin'Jiminy! Supposedly Pub Cl House called my husband saying we had won money and a car. Then hubby gave him my name and phone # and said to call me about it. Well, PCH doesn't CALL people to tell them they won. I argued with this guy for 30 minutes! Supposedly his supervisor will call me tomorrow. I agreed to give them my email address so they could send me info about this supposed 'win'. If I have to, I will change the browser/email address. I didn't give them any bank info or any other #'s. The email address was the only thing I gave him. I just hope 'they' don't dive into my laptop tonight and mess me up. I am just VERY suspicious. Like WHY did they call my husband to say we won when he has NEVER had anything to do with PCH? I read to the guy what it says  the enclosure that comes with any mail order from them, which says that they don't call people. (But it also says that the award is subject to verification of identity and eligibility and an Affadavit of Eligibility within 30 days.) Ah, I still think it is a scam, but I can call PCH tomorrow AND they do have a form for sending them information about a scam where people are claiming to be PCH employees....I can't give them a phone # the call came from because it is "RESTRICTED". Anyway he also said we won a car: a Mercedes, no less. I did have to tell him that I read in a Consumer thingy that I get on line where it said that there were something like 600,000 Mercedes have been recalled. I didn't say why (it's some frame of ...?...the rear window?) Anyway, hubby had told me that if and when he called me back, I was to give the phone to hubby. Well, he already blessed this guy out with many awful words and names. I dread what hubby will say if I admit I talked with the guy and didn't tell hubby he was on the line. Anyway, I still am dubious as all get-out. I'll ask the 'supervisor' tomorrow what the GiveAway # is, because each contest has it's own # ... I will do 'due process' of investigating this business, but I have a sinking feeling, anyway. So, maybe I was stupid, but oh well.

Stars, if it sounds too good to be true it is.

Joe, safe travels on your trip.

J22, hope the cardioversion sticks.

I was "in charge" on both sides with a full patient assignment.  I don't think so.  Busy day.

I found out today I got a merit raise after not getting one for two years because of being "maxed out".  My overall review was "exceeds job description" with kudos on leadership and customer service, and boos on scanning medications.  Will be helpful in these times of inflation and it won't cover that, but I'll take what I can get.

My bathroom has a date that it will be remodeled.  Apparently a three-person crew can get it done in two days.

Afternoon, all!

No Stars, yeah, I would be quite suspicious too!  We will be waiting to hear what the final outcome of all this PCH situation.  //  I always set the parking brake too, for either manual or automatic transmissions.

nursej22, hope your rhythm remains in sinus, and that you feel well after the cardioversion.  I assume you can tell when you are in afib?  Camping sounds nice!  Dh was just shaking his head, reading that gas prices are edging up again.  This will definitely discourage any camping trips in our little RV.

Tweety, at least you got some recognition of your stellar work ethic and efforts.  I would be thankful if you were my nurse!

Joe, hope your stomach and anxiety settled down today.  I'm sure you will enjoy getting away and visiting.  Safe travels!

Around noon I drove over to the clinic and got my flu and covid shots.  Feeling a little tired tonight.  Will likely be sore at the injection sites tomorrow, but will see.  I have been taking it easy this afternoon, watched a version of Jane Austen's Persuasion.  I had watched a different version the other night, and didn't care for their interpretation.  I prefer the one I watched today, released in 1995, starring Amanda Root.

Yesterday early evening, I went for an hour walk with my friend, S.  After the walk we were talking in the CVS parking lot (where we had parked), and a man approached us -- turns out it was oldest ds!!  He was walking to the CVS for a couple things, and saw us talking and thought, "that looks like Mom!"  It was nice to see him, and S enjoyed seeing him too (our kids grew up together).  A nice surprise!

Have a good evening!

I gave Nannie the giggles tonight. When she gets up from her chair, I always check the chux, and then put my hand on the back of her pants to see if they are wet. She said "Why are you always patting my rear-end?" I said ( in my best  DRAGNET's  'Joe Friday' voice): "I am the Butt Police. I'm checking for forensic clues."

.......and that set her off..... Kind of nice to see her laugh for a change.
