Tweety I think I'd be annoyed too with someone who was such a pollyanna.

Stars LOL although I can see why you would want to get away

NJ22 hope the dizziness goes away

Work was fine yesterday, but the down feeling intensified before getting better by the end of the day.  After work I exercised and went to Best Buy to return the keyboard I had bought and exchange it for another that is compatible with my Chromebook.  Sadly they no longer make the original keyboard for this model

Today I'm feeling better although still a bit down, though calm.  Which may be an improvement, I think in an effort to avoid feeling bad I keep my mind running, which can be tiring.  After work I'll exercise and make a mushroom dish for a potluck with the gay group tomorrow

Also working on a date to visit my aunt, which will be in either May or June.  Might also ask my cousin for tentative dates for September, so I can get the days off just in case.  If it doesn't work out and I go to my alma mater instead I'll get some time off in October, as it may be too warm there in September

Going to get up to the low 50s today, rain should hold off until tomorrow

Welp, I woke up earlier, fed Momo, made coffee, and went back to sleep....but I can't remember if I took my meds or not 🙄 but I don't hurt much so maybe I did take them;. That tells me (again) I need to fill my mediset EVERY WEEK without fail! Geesh!

71 degrees and partly sunny/cloudy today, rain tomorrow.

Nannie is still on her kick about how nice her purple shoes are. She also keeps forgetting that the flowers out on the small table just outside the back door, are the ones she picked out for herself yesterday when she was out w/ SiL. Her bed wasn't wet this morning, just had a few damp spots, which I pulled back to expose them to the ceiling fan on high. YAY! NO laundry! Well, no Nannie laundry anyway.

I found a whaddyacall it... hint, clue, 'trick',  for cleaning without stress......To start, ya take a basket around to each room and pick out ONLY what is to be thrown away. So, not having to attack everything all at once makes it seem easier, somehow.. I can do that! Especially since tomorrow is trash pick-up day. I'm not sure what tasks will follow that, but I do have a few dishes to wash up. I need to put away and hang clothes from the two loads of already-done-laundry. Can't think of anything I need to go out for, though, so hallelujah!

I want to check on the bird's nest on the front porch and see where they are in the egg-laying process, without getting too close and disturbing them. Not sure what kind of bird it is, but I think it may be some wrens who have favored various places on the porch over the years.

BiL went to the doc yesterday afternoon, and it wan't his heart bothering him and making him dizzy. The doc said "vertigo" and gave him two different prescriptions to try. I told SiL that the pharmacist told me it was the same med as is in Dramamine, and it also comes in a non-drowsy formula. Also I will dig out the page from a magazine that has the "how to" exercise of dealing with vertigo. One of you guys told me about it, and it does work well, so I figure it wouldn't hurt for them to try it. Not sure if it begins with the letter "H" or "N", but that doesn't matter right now, anyway. Prolly not either letter!

I hope and pray that Nannie decides to doze off soon. She's had her meds and yogurt, and right now is being astonished once again about how BRIGHT the sun is. I just always say, "Yup, that's what the sun does," or, "Uh-huh." I mean, how many years has she been remarking about the sun and its brightness? 😲 She's a regular Rocket Scientist! I would like it if she would be a 'closed-eyes' scientist!

I don't feel quite so down today, at least, so that's something.

My gosh it's already 2 PM! If I turn my head even slightly to the right, Momo leans back and throws up her hind leg in hopes of getting that tummy rubbed!

Guess I will look at the news feeds for the morning, and then do some crossword puzzles, and if Nannie EVER closes her eyes, I will go upstairs and start collecting trash.

Later!

Nice pictures, dianah!

Hope everyone is having a good day. I'm slowly getting caught up (kind of) at work. So much to do. I might have to come in Saturday for a few hours just because I don't like having so many loose ends.

The cough lingers, along with a lot of drainage from my sinuses. I didn't take Nyquil last night because it had me feeling so dopey all day yesterday from having taken it the night before (Hubs says it couldn't have affected me for that long; I say it did). So today I felt dopey because I didn't get any sleep. Tried sudafed today which did reduce the amount of drainage and therefore the irritation and cough. Other than that, I just keep sugar-free hard candies available. But Jolly Ranchers are better than Werther's caramel-flavored candies because the Werther's were causing extreme gas/bloating. I'm blaming the candy anyway.

I did see my PCP Tuesday so she would order my prescriptions 🙂 and had labs drawn this morning which are all good.

Gma told Hubs the other night that he was "obstilential". I don't know what that means, but I'm sure she's right. That must be what he is. Obstilential.

Thanks Ado!  I love new words!  Obstilential!

Slept about 2.5 hr last night.  I tried to nap a little before lunch, and didn't sleep but only rested.  At least I did rest.  After lunch I met S to walk, we did almost 3 miles, and gabbed the whole way. 🙂  Then I went to the grocery store and got "stuff" to make for dinner tonight and some other meals the next couple days.  Also got a pineapple, yum!

After dh feeds Toby (and he will get his thyroid suppressing medication), I will get access to the kitchen to make dinner.

No Stars, good to read your gypsies have settled down, and that it was a quiet day for you, Nannie-wise.  Good plan, to gather the trash!

Tomorrow we will return the RV to storage.

Have a good evening!

Thanks.  I'm pretty good at leaving yesterday behind.  It's how I've managed to keep coming back.  LOL

No unfortunately a glutton for punishment I keep going back.  LOL.

We're having a rough season.  As Winter is our time for tourists and snowbirds, flu and covid, and other issues.  Sick patients, impatient and demanding patients, relentless admissions,  seriously crazy patients with mental illness, out of touch administrators that treat us like cattle.  It's exhausting being so stressed and aggravated all day long and still not being good enough.

Thanks for listening.  It's just a vent.  I don't need a Pollyanna or a suggestion to find another job.  Just me dealing with it.  LOL

But there are some bright sides, like working towards a vacation.  I'm not a total negative Ned all the time.  I try to keep my spirits up.

I have always admired your (mostly 😉 ) clear thinking, and your resilience.  Keep your eyes on that vacation goal, w00t!!
