Good morning. I was feeling a little under the weather yesterday. I spent most of the day sleeping and today is better. We are going to Opening Day for the Seattle Mariners this evening.
Joe, I've never had vodka sauce, I although I've seen it many times on menus.
Stars, that is some progress at getting Nannie placed. I hope today's Dr. visit goes well.
Dianah, your kitty is beautiful! I am glad you were able to find other opportunities to camp and make music with your friends.
Ado, I hope you can get some relief for your foot. Orthotics and dental stuff always seems so crazy expensive to me.
Hi Tweety! Your floor really seems to turn over patients, but I guess that is the way of health care, get 'em, get 'em out. It's probly better for patients but it takes a toll on staff with all the paperwork.
Yuh, well, another ridiculous appt w/ hubby's doctor. When asked how he is doin, hubby said "Real good." Hubby did NOT tell him that he still drinks some; he had a little bottle early this AM. And he said
yes about taking his Ativan the way he was supposed to, which is when I whacked him on the thigh, and got a dirty look for it. He has NOT been taking the Ativan as ordered. And he told the doc that the Ativan makes him feel 'dizzy', which the doctor said he expected so, since hubby was on a high dose. Then he said he was changing hubby's Ativan dose to 1 mg 3x/day; also taking him off Lisinopril and putting him back on the BP med he was on previously....and doncha just know, last week I cleaned out the un-used meds and I think I put them in the med-discard box they set out near the pharmacy.
"Pt does not give an accurate History." Poor doc is not correctly informed and thinks hubby is almost through the medication detoxing that doc believes he is treating him with. No mention was made of having him go to a counselor. Next appt is next Tuesday at 11 AM.
SO! Now hubby has 'gone to the store' to see if he can find ( get this!) a Vick's Vaporub stick to help his breathing at night!!!! We all know what other store he's going to. He keeps his brown-bag on the front seat of the Ford and covers it with a jacket; he must be hiding it from himself, because he ain't foolin' me! Ppfftt!
So Monday is when Nannie gets assessed. If we are lucky, she will be acceptable to the nursing home, and then we get to look for whatever info (papers) they want....
All for now~
No Vick's-sticks at either store he went to! Imagine that!
Now that I have gotten Nannie up and have her chowing down on a Sub from Subway, I have to go to the pharmacy to get the new(old) BP med and I dunno what else.....gee, maybe some more Ativan? But he still has LOTS of that left from the last bottle which he didn't even come close to finishing off! He is out in the Ford watching stuff on his smart phone, and prolly 'sel-medicating'.
I reckon I'll head out now so as to avoid the school traffic and end of shift traffic~
Took a PTO day today because I wanted to go to the zoo before the free pass for healthcare workers ends for the year. The boys and I went and had a good time. But this cold or whatever it is is kicking my butt. I tell myself maybe it has become sinus infection and really does need antibiotics. Then I tell myself to just be patient. Temp is only 99.6 but I feel pretty bad. 0700 nursing meeting tomorrow.
Hubs and I are supposed to sail with the sailing instructor on Saturday.
Hello again!
I made a grocery run, and got gas in the car as well. Then when I got home, while dh did the online jam, I made lentil soup, and macaroni and cheese (baked), and right now a Lemon-Raspberry cake is in the oven. It's supposed to have a lemon buttercream frosting, once it's cooled. Yah, well, it has to get baked first!
It just started raining, but should be clear for the next few days (after today).
We will go to the high desert tomorrow to practice for two programs this weekend. Yah, I've already told you about those, LOL! It is good to look forward to doing music. :)
Have a good evening!
