Dianah I have been to Sedona and it is nice

Stars it's good that she understands  what you're going through

Davey that was nice of him to do that

Tweety glad work was OK

NJ22 seems like your next career will be reflection of your previous one

Ado thankfully none of my cats have sprayed

Work was not bad yesterday, got everything done and  had time to help others.  Still having some phone issues but have a work  around until it gets fixed

Did grocery shopping last night and then had the vestry meeting later that evening.  Went  straight to bed after that

Outreached a local volunteer group that does habitat restoration, and they have an event this Sat.  Thankfully if I adjust my schedule a bit I should be able to attend.  Which is good as I will not be able to attend the next 2 weekly events.  I was inspired by a book, Miracle Under the Oaks,  and it turns out the environmentalist featured in that book will  be there this  Sat

Will be in the upper 40s again today with rain

Hi. Just got home from class. dh asked me about what they covered and then proceeded to critique it. Sigh. The main speaker was a retired prof. of entomology who worked at Texas A&M and was quite good. The second speaker was supposed to talk about pruning, but the computer shut down on her and she got flustered without her power point slides. Oh, well, stuff happens. Class ran late, and I was going to go for a little run, but I was too hungry and have a headache.

Tweety, I guess I've been sheltered from younger workers, but I can't imagine people just leaving. I think there used to be more of a relationship between employer and employee, because after all, you spend a significant part of your life at work. But now it's all about what's in it for me. Or so it seems. It feels like that about customer complaints, or even road rage.

The day was mostly sunny, got up to the mid 50s.

When I was doing a contract at another hospital there was an aide that left after learning she was being floated to another unit. Pretty sure she was fired after that.

I did not have to work the floor today. I did give blood at the mobile drive at the hospital. The weather threat had me worried. Just my luck they'd pop a 14g needle in my arm and the bus would get blown away by a tornado. But while it has been windy and it did rain hard for a short time (Hubs says there was hail here at the house) it was not bad. Cold, though. Tomorrow should be sunny and low- to mid-50s. This has been the week of Spring Break here in OK so Twin A has been at the zoo every day even though it has been fairly cold and their numbers have been low.

I'm crashed on the sofa with 1 cat and 1 dog and it's quite nice. Have to be up early tomorrow for an MRI of my foot/ankle.

Ado, hope it's good news at the MRI

Was in charge today and was a "free charge" and rounded on 32 patients between the two floors.

Our tech decided when she got there she had to leave at 3pm....didn't get any advanced warning, permission or find someone to cover her last four hours.  I hate to rant about Gen Z but she's Gen Z and J22 is right,  the mindset is not "what can I do to earn my pay, to prove I'm worthy of a raise, or help a coworker", it's "this job is just a job and an inconvenient one at that, and I only care about myself, they need me and I can get another job tomorrow".  Not all though.   Unfortunately two other techs called off so we were left on our own after 3pm.

Bleh...sorry for the negativity.  But my faith in humanity just from rounding on the 32 patients and their entitlement and dysfunction, and my coworkers really is lacking right now.

Nannie and I went to the hairdresser today. There was an older lady in her chair, she was just finishing up, and that woman had the neatest haircut. I ventured to say that it would also look good on Nannie, and she agreed. So, that's what she got! It does look a lot better than it has, and won't give her that egg-beater-styled look in the AMs. Not that I much care, but Nannie is pleased, so that's nice.

My cut is okay...more of what I wanted this time, but I may have to make a few small adjustments in a few areas.

Hey, we saw 1+1/2 innings of Spring Training!...Braves vs Tampa Bay, and Tampa whupped 'em 5-1. We were mostly watching to see what players were new and what players were ones we are familiar with. Hubby always sounds like Eeyore when he says things like: "Well, I can already see there's not going to be any good baseball games from the Braves this year." Oh, man! You decided that after you saw the team play one and a half innings? I told him he ALWAYS says that at the beginning of every game. Right up to them winning the World Series last season. What a Grumble-bum!

Time to go to bed now-----

Most of my recent patients were from other countries and were incredibly nice and grateful. The rude ones are the ones who are angry about COVID restrictions and kiddo vaccines. SMH.

my dh is always optimistic about the Mariners, and pessimistic about the SeaHawks. Mostly just about what hears on radio and reads online.
