Stars hopefully he can still moderate his drinking, even if he has given up on the Ativan. Good that the swelling has gone down

Ado I try and  do the same, plan what I'll eat so I'll remain within limits.  Good that the library offers yoga

NJ22 that's a neat tattoo

Dianah given the weather I'd want to stay home too

Better day at work yesterday, some minor unexpected stuff but mostly it wasn't bad.  Hope today is the same

Decided to try and get grocery shopping done before yoga.  I managed it but it was  bit of a rush.  Next time I'll do shopping afterwards

Yoga itself was nice, reminded me of a meditation class I used to take, quite relaxing. Although a fairly good workout, as it's almost an hour long.  Will attend again next week

Have a virtual visit with the counselor today, hopefully it goes well without any technical glitches

Will  be in the upper 30s and cloudy today.  Snow and rain expected tomorrow, possibly quite a bit of it

Hello all!

Joe, good to hear you enjoyed yoga!  Hope your counseling appointment goes well today.  Sounds cold out, stay warm!

nursej22, what a sweet face for your tattoo!  Hope it's not too painful; is this your first?

Ado, were you able to revive the vanilla beans?

Tweety, hope you slept well.  Work today or off?  Good you were there and alert for the man having the MI.

We are up early today, to take the Manx cat to the vet.  Same observations as, probably, a year ago: extreme weight loss, and though dh feeds him "three times what the other cats get," he has not gained any weight back.  One other time, about 6-7 months ago, we took him to an emergency vet, suspecting diabetes or kidney or thyroid issues, but their tests were negative.  Hard to believe.  Anyway, will get him checked out.

It is FINALLY sunny out, and NOT raining (do I sound like a PNW'er??  LOL).  We'll have a break from the rain, for about a week.  Dh and I have been following the snowfall in the Sierras and in our local mountains.  Mammoth Mountain has had 700 inches so far this snow season, with 500 inches in the village below it (mountain top is around 11, 000 ft).  Tahoe ski resorts all report over 300% of "normal" snowfall.  Local mountains have 7-9 feet, which is amazing for them!  Their usual snow reports are "base of 18" with 3" fresh powder," and they routinely make snow at the ski runs.  I hope to get up to Oak Glen tomorrow, to enjoy what's left there.

Have a good day!

Aww, poor kitty. I know you do what is most comfortable for him. That is a lot of snow! I'm sure the Cascades )”my mountains”) are getting good amounts.

Joe, I'm glad your yoga went well. A good teacher is important.

Annie, your yoga option sounds ideal for you.

Tweety, I told myself the same thing many times. I just couldn't bring myself to go back to nights to train for ICU. And there were some real witches working there.
I'm in class today, learning about small fruit/ berries. This afternoon is going to cover propagation of tomatoes and peppers. Weather is partly sunny. The wind blew really hard last night, but no power loss. I think the cold is done for the Spring.
this is my fourth tattoo. I have a roses that represent my dh and kids, goldfinches that represent my parents, hummingbirds for my grandkids and now one for my dog. It's a little sore but that won't last.

We had a humdinger of a thunderstorm last night! Tons of rain, too. I was so happy to be able to lie in bed and listen to the storm. I wanted to watch the lightning, too, but after about the fourth crash of thunder, I couldn't keep my eyes open. Apparently I missed a couple of vigorous thunderations , because hubby said he nearly came out of bed because of a LOUD CLAP overhead.

It has been 69 degrees and raining off and on; actually quite pleasant to sit out on the front porch.

Oh, geeeezzz. So hubby seemed very sober and all when I came back in from errands. Then he tells me he just took 3 of his Ativan a little while before I came home, "and I only drank two of those little bottles." My eyes rolled and once again I told him what he probably already knows but doesn't want to acknowledge --- Ativan and vodka don't mix! You are killing your liver. And you will probably get unsteady and wobbly, but OH WELL! I said if he is going to take the Ativan he should not drink and if he's going to drink, don't take any Ativan, period. He only has 6 Ativan left, but he says he doesn't have that many. But last night when he asked me how many Ativan he had left, I counted them and there were nine. If he 'just took 3" there SHOULD be 6 left, but WHOOOOOO knows!

Supper's ready--------

Hello again!

We took the Manx cat to the vet, to get a full panel.  He said, after examining the cat (Toby), that he was leaning towards hypothyroidism.  He drew labs (to check for diabetes and renal function as well) and we will hear from him tomorrow.  He is very down-to-earth and we like him.

We had a nice lunch at home, after the vet trip.  Then I drove up to Oak Glen, hoping to be able to walk in the snow.  Well, ALL the trails were closed off to visitors.  Ppl were playing on the large lawn (covered in 6-12" of snow), but no one was on the Conservancy trails, or was allowed to walk back to the park in back of the main buildings.  Hmmmmph.  I was disappointed.  At least I got to sit out in the sun (it was 45 degrees) and enjoy the winterized landscape.  I bought an apple pie to bring home to dh.

When I got home, I guess he had taken a nap, rather than do the online jam!  I hope I will sleep well tonight, as we got up a little earlier than usual, to make the trek to the vet's office.

Have a good evening!

I hope they get to the bottom of your cat's issue Dianah.

Glad you liked yoga Joe.

I had a friend that liked V & V - valium and vodka.
