Tweety understandable why you would be concerned about your parents

Ado that was good you got him out to the water park

Dianah sounds like a fun time at the festival

Stars sounds like a productive day

Work was good yesterday, despite having a new case.  Nothing unexpected

Afterwards went to a dinner out with the over 50 group.  Usual crowd, about 6 people total

Today I'm up early to drop my car off for some routine repairs.  Other than that should be an ordinary day

Going to be a bit warmer today, up to mid 90s.  Rain should hold off

Got Nannie up, dressed, fed, and medicated, and BiL whisked her away to daycare. The plumber arrived and has been making a LOT of noise, drilling and pounding while dismantling the old tub and surround. Mein Gott, such banging! BiL is out mowing the lawn. I am lounging on the sofa, perusing all the news on line. I don't have a whole heck of a lot on my agenda right now....the water is shut off, so cleaning and washing, etc, is not part of any of my plans currently.  < = > 😁 Happy Camper!

Cranked the AC to 68 degrees because the plumber is working in a small, tight space, and is having to go in and out the back/back door. The "back/back door" is the one that leads outside from Nannie's room and is seldom used, but it is the quickest and easiest way from the plumber to go to and from the bathroom and his truck. I think it is supposed to get up to at least 95 today. We never did get any of the thunderstorms last night; they were all East and then North of us.....we didn't even get much of the wind they were calling for, not that it hurts my feelings any.

Looks like an essentially lazy day.....maybe I'll do some of that sorting and shredding I mentioned, but not for a while yet. I suppose it would be wise to go upstairs and turn on the ceiling fans and the two little "helper" fans so that it is not suffocating up there this afternoon. I try to give the ceiling fans a break every now and then; don't know it is necessary, but since they essentially run all the time during Summer (because the sun is fully on the roof all day), I figure it doesn't hurt. It doesn't take a heck of a long time to bring the stuffy temperature down, so I don't feel like it is a waste of energy to allow the fluctuation during the day. (as my SiL would say, "Do you know what I mean? I mean, does that make sense?"

> As long as I've known her she has said that about just about everything she explains and I bite my tongue to keep from saying, "Nope!  No idea! What is it exactly that you are trying to say?" I could say that to one of my siblings and get a funny, wise-a$$ answer, but my SiL is not of the same ilk as my siblings, and would feel insulted instead of challenged by sarcasm to one-up my remark with something humorous.

OK, blah-dee-blah. Guess I will go upstairs and play with separating papers for shredding and recycling. Love all this 'excitement'!

Later, y'all !

No Stars, how exciting, to get the walk-in shower!!  You accomplished a lot yesterday, good on ya!  Vegging for awhile is OK in my book!

Pin a rose on my nose:

I also got checkbook balanced, paid bills, will shortly be going to post office and bank, and then will go get the Nannie-person. So.... it has not been a total wash-out, but it was a "sitting-still- while-using-up-2-pens-ful-of-ink"  kind of day. (I buy multiple pens ahead of time because it seems like 3 or 4 pens all run out within a few days of each other.)

The shower guy is still working on his project; BiL will stay here while I run out to get Nannie. I would send him to pick her up, but he can't do my banking for me.

Good evening.

After my sister contacted me and told me what was going on and asked for any advice, I've called her two days in a row and texted and I'm being ghosted.  Not unusual behavior from her.

Work was very busy with admissions and discharges.
