Ahahahaha! Nannie's horror-scope sez she is feeling feisty and will have a good time 'pulling people's chains'. How is that any different from any other day?
I am up and covered with capsaicin and lidocaine patches on my knees, hips, and lower back. So, how is that any different from any other day?
I haven't heard from Chatty CG.....yet. It is 12:40 PM and any time in the next 30 or 40 minutes I will know something one way or another.
Thursday is Gather The Trash Day, to put out at the end of the driveway in the late afternoon. Not too many dishes in the kitchen sink, though, but I still have to put the clean ones away and wash up what's there now. AND, by golly, I am going to be doing laundry, so THERE'S a surprise, eh? And once again I say.....how is that any different from any other day?
Thank goodness my hair grows pretty quickly....when SiL trimmed my hair the other day, I guess she didn't hear me say that *I* would take care of trimming my bangs. As a result, the sides of my bangs are a bit too short, which I think looks kinda dippy, but oh well, nobody here really knows me, and who the heck cares anyway?
Don't I sound CHIPPER? If Chatty CG does actually come, I will hole up in my room and sort clothes and trash and remake the bed with clean sheets. I don't think there is anything I need to go out for, which is good, because it is 92 degrees and going up to 98 degrees, which I think will probably actually get to 100 degrees. Humidity is 78% and there's a possibility of a thunderstorm around 4 PM.
Time to do the Nannie routine now, so I will stop throwing all my 'good' news out here, and get with the program.
Yes, Chatty CG DID show up, her usual 20 minutes late, but at least she is here; and she talked for 30-40 minutes, telling me what all she's been through....sick with possible new strain of COVID? (But, I have to say she is TANNED as all get out) And she had to stay away from her mother who is being treated for cancer, and her sister was po'd that SHE had to fill in for Chatty while she was sick, and Chatty hasn't seen her grand-dgt in 3 weeks because of everything else going on.....and, and, and.....
Nanny felt she should make her bed at some point earlier this A.M., and of course she had to lay back down on top of the made bed, and left a 3+ ft in diameter wet, drenched area, through ALL the layers on the bed, so I have two loads of laundry for her, and two loads for me because I have been putting mine off for days and days. Bleh.
Gonna clean up the kitchen until it is time to change the laundry loads, and then I'll come back up to my room to change my bed linens.
And so it goes.
Happy Juneteenth
Without the rain to keep things cooler, we're in the 90s today. The air conditioning is being wonky and though I'm usually too cold at the office it is currently pretty warm.
I need to check on my patio plants. I'm sure they're getting thirsty.
Tomorrow I see the retina doctor for my annual checkup. I asked Hubs to drive me because they will dilate at least one eye, maybe both, and it just seems easier to have someone else drive home. I'm feeling less independent these days. Twin A will be working a long day so Twin B will have the pleasure of watching Gma. And then he goes to work at 11 pm. He should have plenty of time to sleep.
Mild day, around 70. It may rain tomorrow. Got a skin check today, doc took a biopsy of suspicious spot on my forehead, and strongly recommended sunscreen everywhere, not just my face. He also gave an RX for stronger hydrocortisone cream for bug bites. And a dandruff shampoo.
I got most of my packing done. We volunteered at the demo garden for 2 hours, then stopped for tacos for dinner. And I've been doing laundry. Food shopping tomorrow, need to get the mail stopped, and dh wants to get a new battery for the travel trailer. And we hope the pickup's repair is complete. They were waiting for parts. We are leaving Saturday for Oregon.
I am mildly irritated with my cardiology office. The pharmacy sent them a request Monday to renew 4 meds. Only 1 was approved. Pharmacy says I should call Dr. office. Which I do, and point out I have 3 days of meds left. Office approved 1 more. Looks like I may not have 2 meds for vacation.
Ugh, dilated eyes. Ouch, ouch, ouch. That gives me a nauseating headache.

Stars I hope she does not cancel on you get again
Tweety that sounds like a crazy day
Ado long meetings are tiring even if they provide useful info
NJ22 sounds like a productive day
A Zoom conference and a new case at work, so it was not a quiet day. Although not as bad as yesterday, partially because I got started early. Things did quiet down by the end of the day
After work was fairly quiet, just relaxed and then had a meeting with the political group. Had heavy rain and storms so fewer people than normal
Today hopefully will be calm at work, although I have a coworker off today. The insurance company we work with is closed for Juneteenth so hopefully that will mean less work. After work have to do some baking for the church pride party tomorrow
Will be a bit warmer today, mid 80s rain should be ending
