Hi Tweety

NJ22 hope she was discharged

Stars hope your DH didn't overwork in this heat

Work was busier than I had expected, an unusual number of emails for some  reason.  Funny, since things started slowing down a bit on Tues I noticed I tend to feel a bit anxious, almost like if I'm not working full tilt I'm concerned I'm not doing things right

Did the grocery shopping and stayed in, heat wasn't too bad.  J wore himself out again watering the new sod.  He finally got a sprinkler so hopefully he can stay in more, until the heat eases up

Will be in the low 90s today,  which will be a relief.  Have had  to run the AC only intermittently

Good morning. I’ve been up since 3 am. My back itches like crazy. I had the cardio version yesterday and have red marks where the pads were, either a burn or hypersensitivity reaction. I’m back to a better rhythm, going for a run soon to see if I can feel the difference. Sis did get discharged, no answers about why her heart functioned decreased so much in 3 months. I was going to stop by last evening, but she was understandably worn out. Will go by today. She has an overbearing friend and I don’t want to add to her stress.

Joe and Stars, I can’t fathom during such strenuous work in that kind of heat and humidity. It’s in the 60s here and overcast.
Ado, I hope gma and your power supply are behaving. If you don’t mind me asking, how old are your twins?

Take care all.

So, it's only a stifling 97 degrees right now and there are clouds, so maybe it will rain this afternoon. The weatherguy last night said there would be thunderstorms today. It would be nice, as we need rain.  Heck, it was a hot and humid 75 last night at midnight, and not a cloud in the sky! Hubby just got back from picking up Nannie's lunch, and he is telling us all about what he heard on PBS while he was driving. ("Most songbirds are not monogamous.")

All the logs have been split, and now there are two big piles of split wood in the back yard. I sure hope Nannie appreciates all the work the neighbor did yesterday afternoon in all that dreadful heat. She did say that "all that wood piled up....it's so pretty out there." It's not 'arranged', it is just heaped up. Don't know when it will be toted off, but that's a moot point right now, He DID split ALL of the logs. (Hubby did not do any of it because I said he shouldn't, couldn't and wouldn't!)

Braves won their game last night; no game today as they are traveling.

Oh my goodness: rumbling thunderation is occurring at this very moment! ("God is moving his furniture," sez hubby.) And here comes the rain. YAY! Maybe some of the humidity will go away, maybe. It is freezing down here in the den!

Gotta get Nannie to change her clothes today; she's worn the same outfit day and night for 5 days now. Time to get some laundry done!

Good evening.

Getting a good Summer thunderstorm and that's cooled things down a bit.

Work was horrendous.  They floated a nurse to cover a call out but brought her back at 2pm and hammered us with 8 admissions.  The night shift got two of them.  Terrible way to treat us.

Anyway it's over.  Joint Commission tomorrow.

? What a terrible, horrible, very bad, nasty day, Tweety! The only comforting thing I can say is, at least it is over.

Wow, did we ever have a humdinger of a thunderstorm earlier this evening! I love to watch the storms, but alas .... (It cracks me up, but...) Nannie wants the drapes pulled closed. Her recliner is right there beside the window/drapes. Somehow, she feels safer if ... well, I guess it's if the storm can't see her, she feels safe?

I read somewhere on line that Ryan Gosling is going to play the part of KEN, in a Ken and Barbie movie. (!?!?!) Ought to be, um, interesting. He sure likes to take on some off-beat roles. Remember "Lars and the Real Girl"?

Joe, that makes some sense. I've noticed too that if I'm not all-out busy I wonder what I'm missing. Especially in a new job.

J22, hope the itching settles down. Too bad you can't get a definitive answer about what happened with your sister. My twins are 27. Gma is having a good day. When I left this morning she said "Wait a minute" and got up to give me a hug and said, "I love you". Tonight she keeps saying it was a good day and that Dory is a nice dog. Who is this and what did she do with my MIL? ?

Stars, I remember people saying something about the angels moving the potato wagon (?) when it thundered. or the angels bowling.

My best friend high school was African American and he lived with his grandmother who made them go to bed, no matter what time of day it was during a thunderstorm because it was "the Lord doing his work".

Ryan Gosling is getting attention for this Ken movie promos.  People are either loving it or thinking it's cringe worthy.  It's obviously a touched up photo.  Regardless, it's hard to take your eye off
