Joe~ I used to have nightmares about tornadoes -- I think it was from watching The Wizard of Oz. But where did the nightmares of elevators dropping from the top floors come from? I dunno! But I'm glad you are not dealing with destruction and I'm glad you got a good work review.
dianah~ I wasn't awake for too long when hubby let me know he was out of cigts and that his Xanax had been approved by his doc, so I got to do errands today, too! Aren't we a lucky bunch?
When I got back I said we had to sit down for a 'serious' talk. I'm not expecting it to make much difference, but I said that I had some things to say and what he does about any of it is entirely up to him.
I made an appt to have my nails done for tomorrow at 10:30 AM, with the guy who did an excellent job the two times I have gone to him. // I finally ordered 2 pair of these clogs that are so comfortable (once I put in my podiatrist-made custom arch supports.) I decided to get a white pair and a navy blue pair. They are "sort of" like the ones everyone buys, but not. ? They have a whole bunch of little holes all over the top of them. No brand name, but I have already worn the two pair I have down to the point where the portion under the ball of the foot may have a 'breakthrough'.
I can't remember if I posted this already or not, but just in case I haven't: I tried on some bluejeans yesterday, and I am now down to a SIZE 14 !! That's from size 18 a year and a half ago, and it's (14) what size I was when we got married, almost 34 years ago. And they fit as if made for me, not at all too small at any point. I was astonished when I slipped them on in the dressing room, and they DID just slip on, no tugging, no cussing. ? And they also had them in Long or Tall, so I don't have to have my ankle-bones hanging out! Then I tried on a shirt/blouse and discovered I am no longer in the XX-lrge or 1X, or Xlrg., but just plain large size!! W00T-W00T-W00T!!!

Hi. Spent the day touristing in the town of Newport, on the Oregon coast. I made packets of food to cook on the campfire: fingerling potatoes, asparagus, onion, oil, salt and pepper with either chicken sausage or fresh salmon. My back has been aching all day, and I had no appetite but I guess the food was edible. We go on to Cape Disappointment in Washington state tomorrow, then home on Saturday. Looking forward to my own bed and dishwasher.

Stars perhaps using the annuity for the SNF would be a good idea
Ado I can see how that would make their lives a bit unpredictable
NJ22 that does seem like a nice day
Tweety it was kind of the same in our home
Dianah that was a long walk for such hot weather
Had a monthly review at work yesterday and it went well. Got 2 new cases, which made things busier than expected, then a 3rd just before I left. Hope this pace slows down soon
After work hurried to get the grocery shopping done before the expected storms. Started working out on the exercise bike but was interrupted by a tornado warning for the area just south of us. Kept an eye on the storm as it passed, stepped into the bathroom for a few minutes when I wasn't quite sure of it's direction. Couldn't see the tornado itself, but was able to see the rotating wall cloud above it. Later I drove around the area south of me for a bit, looks like mostly tree damage but some buildings had roof damage
Hoping today will be quieter at work. Have counseling over lunch, and will work on the laundry after work. In the process of getting ticket for a Warhol exhibition that people from the book club are attending
Cooler day today in the upper 70s, some more rain might be possible
