Stars I agree, unexpected guests are a pain
Tweety hope it will run it's course soon
NJ22 was warm and humid here too
Dianah those sound like interesting recipes
Better day yesterday, work fairly quiet despite a long meeting. And felt better too thankfully.
Rained pretty heavily in the afternoon. After work did the grocery shopping and then some cleaning
Little tired this morning, not sure why as I slept OK and feel fine. Hoping for another fairly quiet day at work. Shouldn't be much going on after work
Will be another day in the low 80s, might get some more rain

Good morning!
Joe, hope you have a good day.
I'm still symptomatic with a temp of 100.8 this morning. But overall doing okay.
I made some lentil noodle soup and the usual beans and quinoa. My grocery supply is holding up. Will make something with tofu today....maybe.
I'm an oatmeal and smoothie breakfast type.

101 degrees of stillness in the air; that is, what air you can breathe between the walls of humidity. (Does humidity come in 'walls'?) Anyway, you get the idea.
Had to skip out to WallyWorld to get some more of their equate capsaicin patches. Hubby actually asked if I could put a capsaicin patch over the right side where his ribs are bothering him. That's the first time he has agreed to try any of my frequent remedies! And he said it helped!
I am sad to say that since yesterday the Gypsies came tambourining in to my left hip and lower back, my left knee and my left shoulder. (Last year it was all on the right side!) It's not horribly awful, most of the time, but I do need to use those OTC thingies. I don't know if it was the tension of step-dgts impending visit or the barometric pressure, that caused it to flair up. Or is that (Ric) Flare? It's funny how the aches and pains move around. One doc told me once that he thought I had a 'light case' of fibromyalgia. I held up my fingers to make a cross, and said "I refuse to have fibromyalgia!" He told me I couldn't 'refuse it' if I already had it. So, that's when I decided it was The Gypasippasies.
Tweety, Glad your temp has come down some!
All those heavy dark clouds yesterday yielded a 3 minute sprinkle of rain. What a let-down!
Hubby has gone to get our supper (we eat early these days.) I am going to take my pain meds after supper. I wondered if, yesterday, because I waited to take my meds until bedtime, that's what caused the gypsies to arrive. A week or so ago I was aching and took my meds (except for the ones to help me sleep) earlier than usual and it did make a difference in my evening discomforts. (Did I ever tell y'all there are NO good, comfortable, supportive chairs here at Nannie's?)
Anyways...............
Hubby: Nannie, I'm going to run away from home!
Nannie: Am I standing in your way?

Pretty warm here, high 80s. Had a nice bike ride this morning before it got too hot. Watched a pair of herons flying along the shore at the water line. Those huge wings just amaze me. It reminds me of the flying dinosaurs in Jurassic Park. I went to ATT store to look into phones for ds, then came home and ordered one on line. It won’t come until Oct 10. Went by sis”s house for a little yard work. I actually cooked dinner tonight, a pasta dish. dh is wavering about retiring at the end of August. He feels he is letting people down. It’s not his fault that he’s been covering 3 positions and they’ve only listed one to be filled. I think he may do some filing in, but I told him not to work more than 20 hours a week. There used to be a limit if you were drawing social security.
Good night
