Tweety glad the pain is easing up

NJ22 hope you get everything straightened out with the tests

Ado I hope you get some additional information to help clarify what is going on with her

Stars that must be grating, especially given that you know she was never a pleasant person

Work was pretty good yesterday.  Found out I will get to leave early Friday, as a reward for helping out over the holidays.  Will be nice, but will need to make sure everything gets done first.  Ended up staying late, someone wanted a late call, then wanted to talk for an extended period of time.  Thankfully was not late for my haircut.  Got that done, came home and spend a few minutes at working finishing the documentation and then exercised

Today should be pretty quiet at work unless something comes up.  Not much going on after work except for exercise.  A dumbbell set I ordered has come in, will spend some time getting that set up

Will be warmer today, in the mid 50s.  Will rain most of the day

At 7:30 this morning all our phones started blaring with a tornado warning. Hubs was outside taking the trash bin to the curb and it was raining hard. There is some tornado damage around town and there was a semi blown over on the interstate.

Ado~ YIKES! That would kind of freak me out. After I saw the Wizard of Oz the first time (years ago) I began having tornado nightmares. When I lived in Asheville, there was a tornado warning and I remember that hubby made me and my dog (Moosie) get in the tub and put a futon mattress over us. I said,"What about you?" and he gave the usual "guy response"..... "I'll be alright."  No tornado came through, so all was okay. He used to irk me, too, by going out to sit on the front porch when there was a lightning storm. I'd say, "If you get hit by lightning, I'll never talk to you again!" Harrumph! Men!

CG is here, so I am going out to the store to get some desserts and puddings for Nannie. She eats her dessert first and endlessly scrapes the pudding cup going after every single little tiny line of pudding that is barely there. 🙄 Then she eats her entree' very slowly. Every time I think she is through and ask "Are you done?" she gives me a long answer (inaudible of course) and I have to say, "Yes? or No?" Then for some reason she has to pick up her plate or bowl and show me. When I go over to get her tray off her lap, she feels obliged to point out her glass and silverware and babbles some more. [ Hunnie, I DO NOT CARE! (I do not say.) I have eyes and I can see for myself! ]

Not sure what I will do otherwise, except those dirty dishes are STILL in the kitchen sink, so I HAVE TO do them as there is barely anything clean now, and the silverware dog plates, and little drinking glasses are mostly what is piled up. She has those jelly-jar glasses with little white ducks with yellow ribbons around their necks, painted on the outside of them, which lately she has been trying to peel off, with no success.

The eye doc's office called me and said I had to pay my deductible before the surgery day, so BiL will be bringing me my check when he brings over the CG's check, and I can go over in the morning and pay up.

I still hurt in my knees, thighs and hips. Not QUITE as bad as yesterday, though I am still hobbling somewhat. Sprayed with Lidocaine, because I don't want the capsaicin to cause more 'burning' sensation after application. My medicines seem to make little difference sometimes. Other times they ease things after a little more than an hour.

It is about 63 degrees, not too bad! There is a possibility of rain later, but I do not care, as IF it does rain, I will be inside at home. Another thrilling day in a long train of thrilling days.

Gma does the endless scraping at the bottom of the bowl, too. And frequently if you try to take her dish, she resists and gets mad because she wants to keep it.

IMG_1134.thumb.jpeg.1d59be0c2ac0ba18b1a50f994c4dd770.jpegOvercast here, spits of rain. I drove to eldest ds's place to let his dog out and take her for a short walk. ds and DiL are having to work long days and don't like to leave the dog, a wire-haired pointer alone so long she gets into mischief.

I talked to the travel agent to get signed onto to cruise company, and booked a shoreside excursion at Skagway for our May trip. I called to make an appointment for a hearing check. I am getting so tired of dh and his voice that fades out and his insistence of speaking while he's walking away or down the hall in another room. He insists I am the problem. We were at weed class and everyone struggles to hear the teacher. And there is a weird, high-pitched hum from the lights, but dh insists I am the problem. Well fine. We shall see.

I did a little cleanup outside, between rain showers. Some little flowers are poking up!

Yeh, Gma and Nannie might miss the last .0000006 ml. of an ounce of pudding!! I used to ask her if she wanted another cup of pudding, because she was sooooooo determined to get even the last 'barely-there' odor of chocolate! Nope, she didn't want another cup. Maybe it's the micro-plastic bits she wants to get, so they will cover the holes where memories fall into the abyss in her brain.

I did do all the dishes when I got back from the store. (patting myself on the back!)

I'm HONGRY, and wonder....do I want to make myself a "Dagwood"-type sandwich now, or wait until I nuke the chicken strips and tater-tots and spinach for Nannie? Decisions, decisions!

One hour until CG goes home. Then I get to test my patience until Nannie gets put to bed. Last night at 9:10 PM she said she had to go to the bathroom.... so I walked her in there and once she was seated and didn't have to pee because she had already pee'd in the pull-up, I went ahead and got her pj's on her, to pop her into her bed. I leave her bedroom door closed so Tinker won't get up on her bed and dig the covers into a heap, so when I say, (as we leave the bathroom)...."Push the bedroom door open" and she tentatively pushes the door open and peers in like she doesn't recognize the room, glancing over at all her clothes hanging on the bar at the side of the room, then at the bed, and says "Is this the bed?" You must know I think of a LOT of things I COULD say, but instead I just say, "Uh-huh. That's your bed."

I hope there is nothing that occurs and requires a 'report' to y'all.

Good morning!

Read you all and hope the evening keeps you all well.

Work was rather uneventful.  I can say that now.  My left pain remains minimal.  Might do one more day of the NSAIDS just to knock it out.

Like much of the country our ERs are slammed.  I read one of the hospitals had 25% of ER patients turn up flu positive.  I'm not seeing many flu admissions thankfully.  Most of them are discharged.

Like I said, it's funny when on social media a news organization makes a statement about the heavy flu season and Floridians go into conspiracy and denial.

We're having nice warm springtime weather and I'm loving it.  Foggy tough in the morning.  Today it stayed foggy until 11:00

Back tomorrow for more fun.

I can't remember if I told you all but I made the decision to go to Texas this weekend. Taking an 11-hour train ride to San Marcos tomorrow and nephew will pick me up. I reserved a room at a hotel near the hospital. When I first went to book the train the fare was only $50 but I ended up spending $55 (one way). It sure would be nice if Hubs could come along. But he can't and both "boys" are working.

Unless there's a reason not to I'll return Monday.

Apparently most of our little town was without power all day. Did not affect our house or the hospital, for which I am grateful.
