G'day!
Joe, hope you have another good day.
It usually is quite sunny here in the Winter which is why we're called "The Sunshine State". We actually got some sun yesterday but today it's back to being totally cloudy with no sun. Ugh....guess we've been spoiled. Might see some sun this weekend, but it's still "cold".
The 10 day forecast for Dehli, India seems sunny but cold down into the 40's at night. Apparently this week they hare having a "cold wave" that has disrupted flights. Hope it goes away.
Got a haircut today and went to Trader Joes. Otherwise not sure what to do today after lunch. Need to clean and organize. I still have whites in the dryer from yesterday.
It's supposed to be in the mid-fifties today, the sun is shining and I am sitting propped up in bed with a sore, achey right hip and knee. This happens every time I finish-up my night's sleeping on my right side. I am having coffee and have taken my AM meds, waiting for them to kick in to dull down the aches. Momo has had her breakfast and used her peepad, so I have invited her to get under the covers again. I turned the electric fireplace on, so maybe when I go back down to the den, the 'edge' will be off the air.
Nothing specific on my agenda, though I might slip out to the grocery store and get what I had listed in my notebook brain, and forgot to take with me yesterday.
Momo is still leaving little dots of blood on the sheets, so I MAY do laundry today, OR I might just try spot treatments with some H202 instead. Because what's the point of laundering the sheet if it is going to be dotted with those spots (which dry quickly) all over again? It sounds gross, I know, but I sort have developed an 'allergy' to doing the wash now, after the laundry extravaganza from last week. And like I said before, the comforter covers the polka-dotted sheet.
Welp, I better get up and get dressed, then go get Nannie up.
Last night BiL brought over some food from SiL when he brought Nannie back home. I thought one of the things he brought was an apple pie, so I left it out on the table overnight. This morning I remembered BiL handing me the bag, saying "This is a chicken pot pie." Uh-oh, prolly not advisable to eat it now. Oh well.
Okay, on with the day....
Nannie's up and dressed in dry clothes. Today I found a fitted sheet that had been washed, folded and set on top of the dryer when last I saw it....but today it was fully opened and draped over her walker. I don't know why, and neither did she. Musta been some stranger in there overnight, rearranging stuff! Then I found her used pullups and pads balanced on the washing-machines' column agitator. She was soaked through to the skin, up to the middle of her back, because she had not put back on any absorbent products. So I washed her down; SiL had said she would get her in the shower on Sunday afternoon. And of course the bedding is all wet. Yup, so I get to do laundry. Oh, hurray-hurrah. AND, of course, she is complaining about how bright the sunshine is. Won't accept an offer of sunglasses or closing the drapes part-way. Maybe if I am lucky, she will doze off soon!
SiL texted me back about the chicken potpie and said not to eat it. (that's what I thought, too.)
I am wearing one of my new pairs of shoes, but for some reason I can't locate any of the numerous arch supports I have SOMEWHERE up in the heaped-up mess in the smaller bedroom. It makes me feel kind of unbalanced without them in the shoes, so I guess finding them should be part of my agenda today.
Got Nannie rescheduled for an appt w/ PCP, for Feb 9th at 4:20 PM. Then after the appt we can stop and pick up some take-out supper at "Buddy's". We haven't had any of their food in a while, and at least they have a bigger menu than the place I went yesterday. Maybe we'll get fried chicken livers and split it, because they are overly generous with their meal sizes. They aren't as good as*MY* fried chicken livers, but nobody's is as good as mine! It's just that I really dislike cooking, and can't be cooking fried chicken livers without my lost-somewhere-in-the-shed electric frying pan, which is exactly the right size, and Nannie doesn't have an electric frying pan, so.....that's my story and I'm sticking to it.
Oh shoot, my CareCredit card is due today and there is no way to call in a payment; they may tack a $40 late fee onto the next bill, even if I pay it in full and mail it in today. Jeeze. Crap. Phooey.
So, whatever, whatever...
Later, y'all~
Hello all!
Tweety, when do you leave for New Delhi? So exciting!
Joe, good that yesterday was calmer for you, and that vestry meetings are done.
No Stars, have you considered letting Momo wear a doggy diaper when she is in bed? Just curious. And UGH, more laundry?? Plan for MD appt and Neal at Buddy's sounds good! Too bad about the chicken pot pie! Hope your aches ease up.
Well we picked up our car from the body shop and turned in the rental! Yay, finally done with that chapter!!
Speaking of chapters, I finished reading The Wave. Very very interesting! I am now on to another in a Nell Goddin mystery series, set in western France.
I walked yesterday with my friend S, it was good to catch up with her (figuratively speaking), and good to be outside when it's NOT 100 degrees! I need to trim the front bushes.
We went to Disneyland on Tuesday, got 11K steps in, yay! It was a good day outdoors.
Not much else going on. Have a good afternoon/evening!
Another snowy day, supposedly will start warming and thawing. We ordered a new bed, whoop ti doo. I have a pot roast in the oven.
So long vestry. I'm sure the church appreciated your work, Joe.
Late fees suck. I'm don't have to depend on snail mail anymore.
No walking for me this week. Too slick.
im slogging through a book about Alva Vanderbilt. She was quite a woman.
my former coworker went to India for a TB conference. It sounded very chaotic to me.

Tweety I imagine that even in Winter FL gets a lot of sun
NJ22 looks like you got more snow than we did
Stars hope the electric fireplace can help warm things up
Yesterday was good, no unexplained anxiety, and despite the meeting work was fairly slow. Afterwards went out and did grocery shopping, which took longer than expected. Then had my final vestry meeting, which pretty much ended on time although I was pretty tired by the time it was over. Not sure I'll do that again
Feel relaxed but oddly sleepy this morning. Nothing unusual going on today, will exercise after work but nothing else really planned
Going to get up to the low 20s today, which will be an improvement from the temperatures we have previously been having
