Joe~ Warming up to the 30's doesn't sound too very warm! HERE, we have temps in the low 70's and RAIN, and I believe I heard a rumble of thunder a few minutes ago.
So, I have to, as usual, stop lounging in bed and get dressed. It is coming up on time for Chatty CG to arrive (she will be every-other-Thursday for a while to see how that affects Nannie's finances). I have to go down and get Nannie up and dressed and her breakfast in the tray on her lap. Then I will come back up to my room and dither around OR make a concerted effort to at least clean up my immediate environs.
Okay, so Chatty CG called at 1:15 PM and said she was on her way, but she was running late. (SURPRISE!) Then when she got here I had to listen (well, I didn't HAVE TO, but I did) about the potty training of her grand-dgt, and then the neighbor who has lived in the South all of her life, who is moving to upstate New York to live with her sister. Then, she gave me a Michael Kors purse she got at a place called "Where Ya Bin" which on Thursday mornings has 25 cents day, where everything is 25 cents. Eventually, I was able to ease my way out of it by emptying the trash, and then came upstairs to wrestle with making my bed up with fresh sheets, etc.
I am letting the sweat dry before I start in on the rest of this room, and I am having a good protein-filled brunch, so I can get my gumpties going for the next round.....
Still too cold for the snow to melt. We got another 2 inches last night. I have absolutely no gumpties. I've been bargaining with myself to get stuff done. I pulled myself away from reading the news online to take a shower, reasoning that I would feel better. Nope, just itchy. I allowed myself an hour to jigsaw puzzle, then got up and did the dishes. Part way through the little dog brought in a dead chickadee . Ack! There is something about dead creatures that I have trouble dealing with. She dropped it when I barked No! And the other dog was so tempted to grab it. I kept yelling no! as I moved to grab a paper towel an pick up the wee thing and dispose of it. Do you think my knight in shining armor would ride to my rescue? Nope. He was immersed in reading about sports on his computer. Bah.
I need to run to the store because I all out of ground coffee. I should get something for dinner. I was hoping dh would go when he made a pharmacy run, but his prescription won't be ready until tomorrow. Bah.
I worked on the bedside arrangement, with the bookshelf I got at the indoor flea-market, that BiL painted for me. Toted things back and forth, down and up, dusted and vac'd; dumped trash and recycling; and also fell smack-dab on my right ischeal tuberosity on the kitchen floor. OUCH! Then later when I thought I was releasing gas, it was galloping crud again right into my britches. ☹️ I hate it when that happens. I know that has to do with my IBS-D, as I have had some deep-seated, jaw-clenching episodes of anger/frustration and when I bury those feelings they go to my stomach and then on down into the lower gut. Once again I feel quite exhausted; SAPPED, even! BUT at least THIS TIME I did get some of the stuff accomplished that has been itching my brain about my room.
I haven't got any white rice yet, but I do have applesauce, white bread for toast (I get that for Nannie and seldom eat it)....and what's the "B" of the BRAT diet? I'm sure I will think of it. And I will take s'more of the Immodium. Maybe I will have broth and toast and applesauce for supper. How exciting!
I will have to go downstairs and relieve Chatty CG because her time is almost up. Then I get to sit for another Evening With Nannie and re-runs of re-runs on HGTV, which means Word Search and Crossword Puzzles ( and try not to say any of the CROSS 😖 words that want to come out of my mouth.)
Now you've done it, NSIME, got me looking for (free) online crosswords to do!
I have a load of laundry in the washer, and I folded another load. Mopped the kitchen, dusted some. Not much else going on here. It's sprinkling on and off, though when I went out to the garage with the laundry basket, it was partially clear of clouds. Still felt like rain, though. I know Northern CA has received more than its share of rain recently, with flooded roads all over the place. Hope the folks involved are safe.
Have a good evening!
G'day.
Took a chance on a couple of young men and am fixing my garage ceiling where it leaked through and patch up where I ran my car into the wall years ago. LOL. So far they showed up when they said they would and worked hard and got a lot done. Imagine that.
I worked the floor today and had 5:1 and got done on time even though I got an admission at shift change. This is the last time unless I work overtime that I will be working the floor and will be in charge all the days I work. Hopefully it works out.
It seemed like a nice sunny and warm day. Happy for any tourists out and about. My air conditioner is on for a few because my bedroom gets too warm to sleep when it's in the 80's.

NJ22 that's quite a variety of birds
Work was good, nothing unexpected but a bit busier than expected. Hope things slow down a bit tomorrow as we have someone off
Due to freezing rain expected last night I stopped at the library during lunch. Then after work exercised, took a long bath and had some hot chocolate
Today have a social thing with the gay group after work. Hopefully the freezing rain will have melted by then
Going to be a little warmer, up to the upper 30s
