Stars that is good that he is still drinking moderately.  Hopefully he will help with placement for her

Dianah thanks for sharing that story about Cloud

Work got crazy again, though I managed not to get too crazy myself.  Could still do better though, as I still let it get to me.  End of the day was pretty quiet, thankfully

Did call and leave a message for one of the counselors on the list.  Will wait a few days, if I don't get a call or email I'll move on to the next person on the list

Rest of the day was pretty ordinary, did grocery shopping and stopped at the library.  Relatively few people grocery shopping  last night,  despite snow predicted for today.  Texted with J, we're getting together next week

Have an online vestry meeting this evening.

Going to get a few inches of snow this evening, although for the most part it shouldn't stick.  Will be in the mid 30s

It is a beautiful warm and breezy, partly sunny, partly cloudy day, 72 degrees!

Went to the Dr's appt w/ hubby. He is putting him on some Lasix (or something like it) to get the extra fluids off his body. The ankle and foot are no longer edematous, but the left hand continues to be edematous, part way up his lower arm. Doc says since the swelling moved from his left foot (after 2 days) to his left arm, he is not alarmed right now. if it works well to decrease the swelling, he can stop it after a week or so.

The doc is going away (vacation) so the next appt is in two weeks, and that's when they're going to re-start one of the "home detox" meds. Hubby is meanwhile to stay moderate with his drinking and see if he can cut out one (airplane/small) bottle every four days.(From the 8 bottles a day he has been drinking.) Two weeks is a kinda long time, but he has been good about NOT mixing meds and vodka. I hope he can stay determined! I did tell him I enjoyed his company when he isn't getting plastered all the time.

We also talked to the doc about placing Nannie and he said that he would be more than happy to fill out an FL-2 form and whatever other paperwork is needed. The nsg home that hubby called is in this town, about maybe 6 miles away.....they said they had no beds right now, but he had himself put on the waiting list, which is not terribly long, they said. {*fingers ? crossed*}  >IS THERE HOPE IN OUR LIFETIME?<<<<

Nannie said she is having a problem with the thread getting caught on her fingernails and she couldn't get it to go through the needle. (not that she has any needle or thread anywhere near her.) She seems to be indicating the tassles on her shoulder wrap, I think.

When she dozed off and started talking in her sleep,  she said there were two guys she took pictures of, but it was only those two. Then something about a crowd going ZOOM and being chased away. And she is trying to fill out a form which is difficult and she had to read it over 3-4 times. She had the kids read it, too, to make sure it was right. She is making a face like ventriloquist Jeff Dunwood's puppet, Walter. (Mouth drawn down while frowning.)

Well this is more excitement than I can stand at the moment. I am going to sit outside and enjoy the weather!!

The weather is not pleasant. But not terrible. Just gray and cool. Yesterday was so sunny I actually used my sunglasses. The sun is so low in the sky that driving towards it can be tough. I'm at gardening class, learning about soul science. Very interesting: structure and pH and cation exchange.
Going to a gathering tonight for my retiring manager, but I don't plan to stay long. Crazy retired coworker wanted to go out for dinner after, I'm not sure I'll go. We are going to spend the weekend in Seattle, and I have to pack tonight and work tomorrow. Dh will take me to work and pick me up so I don't have to leave my car somewhere. Dd is going to dog sit.

Hello all!

Thank you for your kind words about Cloud.  We appreciate your thoughtfulness.

No Stars, this is at least a little bit of progress, for Mr. Stars and for placing Nannie.  Slow as molasses but progress nonetheless!  Prayers continue!

nursej22, enjoy Seattle, have a nice time away!

Joe, good you were able to wade through the chaos at work.  What are your and J's plans for next week?  Stay warm and safe in the snow!

Yesterday in the afternoon I walked with my friend S, 3.66 miles, up and down some hills!  I hadn't walked since last week, shame on me!  Will have to use my elliptical or walk the track at the park.   I stopped by the grocery store on my way home, for a few things.  It got down to 32 last night, should be in the 60's today, and clear.

Today we will probably practice a little for Saturday's memorial service.   Other than that, no plans except household stuff.

Have a good day and evening!

G'day.

I had nothing good to say about yesterday so I just didn't say anything.

My house is a warm 79 degrees after working today and I've got the air conditioner going to cool it off a couple of degrees before I go to sleep.
