Dianah that is a lot of steps, good that the weather cooperated

Ado I feel that way about work too, at least sometimes

Stars I hope you can find the SSA office, odd that it's so hard to locate

Work ended up being crazy towards the end.  I'm going to be managing an account on my own in the future, so I have to get ready and give a good bit of my existing work to coworkers. I was told Tuesday we would have a few weeks, but we found out yesterday noon that we had to get started now.  So a bit of a mad rush to see which cases can be closed and which can be transferred.  Had to cut lunch short but thankfully still got done on time

After work was busy too.  Did the grocery shopping after work and stopped at the library, then was home briefly before heading out to dinner with the gay group.  We had a good turnout, it was a small upscale restaurant which we had to ourselves.  The food was good, but service was quite slow, some people waited an hour for their food.  I think it took another half our or more to get the checks too.  So ended up being a longer night than expected

Today hopefully will be calmer at work, also should be calmer after work too.  Have counseling over lunch but other than that nothing unusual

Will get up to the low 50s today, unusually warm for this  time of year.

Hello all!

Joe, what work did you give to co-workers, and what does it mean to have your "own" account to manage??  Sounds like the outing was successful, although the service was slow.  Was the group a large one?

It's raining today, and should rain all day!  I have to go out for some supplies, but won't be out long.  I did make the Hungarian Mushroom Soup yesterday.  It turned out well, I am not sure I like a lot of dill flavor (it has some dill weed in it).  I do like putting fresh herbs in things, and this recipe called for fresh thyme. ?  Dh liked it too!  We will have it the next couple nights.

We have no plans so far, with this atmospheric river going on, and after a break of a day or two, another river will follow!

Have a good day!

Good morning. Another gray day here, with intermittent sprinkles, relatively warm , in the 50s. The predicted heavy rain moved south, into Oregon. Dh and I were going to watch the Wizard of Oz in a movie theatre, but sis called me to say she was discharged and needed to be picked up. Her 3 day stay turned into 2 days. They said she had a favorable response to her meds and the cardioversion worked so they booted her out.  Unfortunately I hit rush hour, and there was an accident, so it took 2 hours there and back. And too late for the movie. So sis and I stopped for a bite to eat and to pick up her new prescription so she didn't miss her evening dose. She just texted me and is feeling much better. I hope this fixes at least some of her falling.

Our current SSA office is in a blocky, nondescript building with a very plain sign. The flag pole in front gives a hint that it is a government building. The SSA  used to be in the old Federal Building downtown, but I'm sure that because too cramped to serve adequately. It is quite an ornate building, ?Italian Renaissance? style. I'm sure when it was built in 1912 it was way too fancy for this little logging and fishing port.

I need to get out and do some pruning, if the weather will allow. I watched a Zoom class on blueberries, so now I am all inspired. And we have an apple tree that needs a haircut, too.

Dianah, 11,000 steps on hard surfaces makes my feet ache to think about.

We are moving furniture today to make room for the new bed, and then shampoo the carpet. don't tell me we don't know how to have fun, LOL.

nursej22, you have OODLES of fun scheduled today!  Wowza!!  I hope your sister remains in sinus rhythm, and starts feeling better.

And, when we walk those 11K steps, it's walk then sit then walk then sit then walk then sit then walk then sit...  and repeat!  I wear comfy shoes, ALWAYS.  We refer to Disneyland as our Health Club.  We get our steps in, and very much enjoy the scenery!  ?

I didn't get up early, so today will be laundry day instead of a running-out-to-locate-the-SSA-office-day.

BiL gave me a check yesterday, which I wanted to deposit at the bank. I will have to be stern with myself and set the alarm clock for 8:30 tomorrow so I can run out by the bank and the SSA office as soon as they are open and get things done by 9:30 or 10 AM.

I do have to hop out now for milk and cranapple juice. Can't believe I forgot them yesterday when I was holding my brain/notebook in my hand.

Don't understand why or how I ended up posting the same post yesterday.

Nannie spent her first half hour of her nap having an entertaining conversation with .....?someone or other. She was laughing and smiling! Then she woke up and said something to me, which I had to tell her didn't make a bit of sense, so it must've been something she was dreaming. She nodded her head once, and went back to sleep.

It is already school-bus time ? and the start of rush hour, so I've got to skidaddle and get the milk and cranapple juice, as we are completely out of them.

G'day.  I'm flying on India from Varanasi to Delhi.  I swear it's easier to get to Israel.  Leaving 45 minutes late   But no big deal.  Spendong the night and leaving tomorrow.  Another trip on the books.  It's been amazing.
