Ado hope the heat treatment takes care of the bedbugs

Dianah sounds like a fun time

NJ22 that must have been a relief that no fines will be involved

Stars that must be a help, getting the meds prepackaged

Work was good yesterday, not too busy. Hope the same holds true today, although I will have a coworker off for a week

After work drove to the over 50 group event at a local restaurant, took a bit longer than expected with traffic.  Had a good turnout, 8 people total, which apparently is a record for this group

Today will do the grocery shopping after work.  Might also stop at Kohls to pick up some clothes as I have a discount that will expire soon

Going to be a warmer day today, could get up to 60

Didn't get up earlier, as I had planned to. So, I have to get Nannie up and THEN go to the bank and post office.

I got a notice on line from Care Credit that I had changed my phone #, and I didn't do that. I called Care Credit, and the woman said she had no changes recorded; in fact I do not have that acct online, so I wonder if it is a scam? And, I had to change my password for my Google acct, too. Hmmm. Not a good way to wake up.

I sure hope my info hasn't been stolen.

....gotta get dressed and get busy....

I'm back. Got the checking acct (that Nannie, hubby and I had) cancelled, so all those bills now go to BiL's address and come out of his acct for Nannie. Got MY checking acct straightened out, and thankfully I am NOT overdrawn again (it would've been the third time recently!) I will be getting a check from BiL next week, for Nannie's groceries, And then mid-May I will get a check from him for the Nannie-care I do. Then my SS check comes in on May 22nd. I am not used to walking this extremely fine line financially, so I have to be ultra careful. NOW would be a GREAT time to win a sweeps or lottery, but of course I am not counting on that and I am not holding my breath, just wishing and praying real hard! There are so many things on my Need-To-Get-Taken-Care-Of list: a new WILL (EGADS! for $400!), 4 new tires, new trifocal glasses, a dental visit or three, new hearing aids, AND Momo needs to get spayed. I hate 'responsible grown-up' things. Not sure what I can get tackled first. I always say to throw everything up in the air, and whatever lands first is what gets taken care of.

Nannie is asleep in her recliner. NATURALLY she got all of her bed wet again. Can't get her to STOP making her bed up in the middle of the night, and then sleeping on TOP of everything. Momo peed on the comforter AGAIN, so I am doing the laundry AGAIN. 🙄

And, of course, most of all I hate all the "housewife" chores, and never having more than a couple of hours "off-duty" each week. I am not ungrateful for the help I do get, but I need a VACATION! Just quiet time, alone, would be so wonderful.

Okay, through griping and moaning for now.

Gripe all you want/need, Stars. I do my fair share, too. We're among friends.

Overdraft fees are awful. We've "spent" hundreds of dollars because we don't keep a close enough watch and some big bill will get automatically withdrawn. Then everything racks up a fee until we become aware of it and do something about it.

I had to take a break just now to clear my head.

I wonder if we will get fined for underpayment of our taxes? We must do better.

I wonder, Stars, could you permanently (or semi-permanently) attach a rubber sheet or some waterproof "fabric" to the top of the comforter, so when Nannie makes her bed, THAT is on top?  That way when she is lying on it, the under-bedthings won't get wet.  Maybe, if the rubber sheet looks too bad, a thin cotton sheet on top, which could be easily switched to another one "if" it got wet.  Wish I was close-by, could sew one for ya.  🙂

I am so reluctant to initiate many automatic payments, afraid they will come at an inopportune time.  With my current system, I regulate when payments get removed from my account, = under my control.

Just an update (for Tweety!), I have modified my "diet" to be kinda South Beach.  I still use the Keto App, as it will calculate calories, protein, carbs, fats for meals (and I can create my own, not use their menus), and it will remind me to drink water 🙂 .   Their menus strike me as VERY high fat, which is discouraging.  Fry this, saute that.  And lots of meal prep, which I will get tired of VERY quickly!  I will work on reducing calories, upping plant-based intake (including more veggies).  Thanks again for sharing!

I must say, I am kinda discouraged.  Dh and I eat (or, before I went on my diet, ATE) the same things.  He lost weight.  I gained weight.  And I am the one who schedules walks and uses weights at home!  Phoooooeeyy with THAT!!  Ah well, it is what it is.  I know ppl's metabolism is different.  Also, dh's BP is always wonderful (he takes no meds).  Me, I take three meds for BP (and cardiac remodeling, after my heart failure post-valve repair) -- which has been very helpful, and I am on low doses.

So, enuf griping.  It looks like we might get some rain tomorrow afternoon.  When I went out to do errands, I saw many dark clouds to the north.  I then checked the weather app and, sure enough, rain predicted.  Not 100%, more like in the 50's.  We'll see.

Have a good evening!

I gripe about the never-ending chores around here, I know I'd hate taking care of someone else.

Dianah, glad to hear you're going off keto.  Like I said it's good for losing weight I suppose but long-term health, especially knowing you were are a recovering cardiac patient, I don't think it's healthy at all.

Best friend always has good blood pressure and his labs to me he shares seems heart attack proof.  He eats low carb mostly.  He does have brittle bones though, so all that protein and walking he does doesn't seem to help with that.  But could be genes.

I need to do better.  Been stress eating at work.  A family brought donuts and another family brought Panarea sandwiches with chips.
