Stars you're probably right what he drinks is independent of the size of the bottle

Tweety I hope this shift wasn't too busy and there weren't too many calls

NJ22 that is a pain that it turned out to be MRSA, hope the antibiotics take care of it

For some reason felt fairly tired and down yesterday, with a persistent headache most of the day.  Felt a little like a migraine but not as bad as one.  Work was pretty decent apart from that.  By the end of the day I was feeling better

After work did the grocery shopping and went to dinner out with the book club.  We talked about books of course but also just socialized, had a very nice time.  We meet again in 2 weeks to discuss the latest book

Should be a fairly quiet day today.  Need to text J about meeting tomorrow, and will have a virtual appointment with the counselor over lunch

Will be warmer today in the mid 60s

Another gray, rainy, cool (62 degrees) day. Nannie is talking crazy again....this time about a woman she supposedly knows who was a professional baseball player, and how she (the ball player) was talking about how there weren't so many Americans playing pro baseball now. ? (read 'white men'). Of course I told her that that is not so, but she believes what she believes in her little brain-washed Southern-raised self's brain. Awkward sentence, but you know what I mean.

The ballgame has been on rain delay, with the tarp still out on the field after 3 and 1/2 hours. ?  Nobody is walking around with squeegees to clear the rainwater off of it. We are getting lots of replays of highlights of other games, and the little picture in the right hand, lower corner of the screen, shows the tarp still out there which confuses Nannie further. Then every-so-often she will read the large words at the top of the screen which says "ATLANTA BRAVES WEATHER DELAY".  Yuh, that's what it says, and what has been on screen ever since we turned on the TV HOURS AGO!  don't believe they'll play today, though. She seems to think that when the rain is lighter or heavier here, that's the same thing happening in Atlanta. I told her that clouds MOVE and what's weather in one area isn't necessarily what's going on hundreds of miles away. Wasted words of course.

Hubby didn't get to sleep until well after 5 AM. I know that because I couldn't fall asleep either; he was up about every half-hour to 45 minutes to go pee. I am convinced he has an enlarged prostate. I don't understand when he can have something done to alleviate the problem, why he won't. Maybe because his dad died of prostate cancer, although hubby won't admit to that being a reason. Why does he have to continually suffer through all he's going through? I think he is in a free-fall and just hopes it will magically end if some doctor would just give him some different "more effective" medicine so he can sleep all night. But when you spend the day drinking and napping, what else can you expect? He can't summon spit to even try to make the effort to get well (or 'weller' than he has been...).

So, y'all get the idea, eh? More of the same-old-same-old. Ppfftt.

Wish I had something new and fun and GOOD to talk about. Maybe one day.

The baseball game is actually going to start in about 15 minutes; ie the tarp is off the field after 4 + 1/2 hours! And the pitcher is warming up; the groundskeepers are putting down the dry stuff (well it isn't exactly dirt, per se) and repainting the white lines. Wow. That means baseball is about to begin!

Hubby is up now, and soon will come the daily quiz: What do you want to have for supper? Do you want to get it as take-out, or do you want stuff from the freezer? (Personally, *I* want to do my usual nibbling when I feel like it, and not tie it to a particular time of day, but we all know that.)

So it is about 5 hours until Nannie goes to bed. Nice to have something to look forward to, eh? ?

I've been entering abstraction data all afternoon and I'm t-I-r-e-d. Uploaded it to the test site and have to figure out if any of these "informational messages" (there are 392 of them for 99 cases) have a problem that needs to be corrected. I think not but I need to look carefully when I am a little fresher. Thinking I'll go do yoga at the library so I can have a break from the computer for a bit.

Dory seems to be getting around a little better.

And that's life in dullsville here. Gma decided to do a sit-in in the bathroom last night, refusing to leave it. It is "her room". I ended up physically removing her so that one of the boys could use the bathroom (Hubs was tying up the other bathroom). She was mad as a hornet. And I was a you-know-what (her favorite word, starts with an "s").

I'd like to get tickets and take the boys to see Hamilton but I've been afraid to spend any money. Seems unexpected expenses are always cropping up and I should devote some to vet care for the aging pets.

G'day.

Joe, glad you had a good time socializing.

Stars, you can lead a horse to water......or in this case a stubborn mule.

Ado, there always seems to be unexpected expensive.  I feel guilty when I spend money these days on fun stuff or unnecessary stuff like music or books.

Had a grizzly bloody death today but thankfully was a DNR.  Sad thing she was prior alert and was about to be discharged home with her family.  Good thing it didn't happen at home or on the way home.  The daughter was so distraught but was able to pull it together and tons of family came in to say goodbye...children and grandchildren.

Tweety, even with years of experience under your belt, it is still unsettling, to say the least, to have a patient walking/talking one minute (and ready for discharge, no less!) and then gone, and in a dramatic way.  So sad for her family.

No Stars, Mr. Stars wants a magic pill that will POOF!! make everything better, WITHOUT ANY EFFORT ON HIS PART.  Yah, we know.  Stay the course.  Hugs to you.  Hope your team does well today.

Ado, smh about Gma claiming her "room."  I'll bet she was upset being removed from it!  Hope you were able to switch gears away from computer to something that balances you.  Good to hear Dory is doing better!

Joe, hope the headache is gone, good it wasn't as bad as a migraine, but still -- makes it hard to work, with a headache.  What is the book for your book club?  Hope your counselor appointment went well!

Yesterday I toodled over to Lowe's and got some potting soil/topper soil and a couple small flowering plants.  It has been YEARS since I "worked in the garden."  And I certainly do NOT have green thumbs.  Or green fingers.  Or ANY green ANYTHING!!  But I got two big bags of the soil, and the plants.  Today I was going to distribute the soil (just to amend the "regular" dirt), but when I got out there, I spent two hours raking sycamore leaves from 30+ years ago, and decided I didn't want a certain plant anymore, so I  *ahem*  "removed" it.  And I removed a dead hibiscus plant.  Greens container is all full, now.  And I STILL didn't "spread dirt."  Ah well, maybe tomorrow.  The plants are getting watered, they are OK not going into the ground just yet.

Not much else going on here.  We were going to go to the Renaissance Faire on Saturday with oldest ds, but we noted it was supposed to be 90 degrees there, whereas if we waited till NEXT Saturday, forecast is for 72 degrees.  We voted to wait a week, and go when the temps are lower.  So, this weekend we have no plans.

Have a good evening!

? Hey Tweety, no emoji's of a stubborn mule, so this horse's orifice will have to suffice.

Once again, I agree with what you said. ?
