Dianah that's cool you're going to be on TV

NJ22 I think the pandemic plays a bit role in being hesitant about plans

Stars it seems that you are on the right path, however difficult

Tweety that's a good way to approach things

I noticed that when I started making plans I had more anxiety,  so perhaps the fear the pandemic will disrupt things again is a factor

Was a fairly good day at work, started crazy but settled down.  Had the monthly meeting with the boss, it went very well, a big relief for me

Was very rainy and windy yesterday, but it settled down in time for me to get the grocery shopping done.  Went to choir practice too

Today will go to Maundy Thursday service a bit early so the choir can practice beforehand.  Might try and get a walk in before having to leave

Will be in the 40s today and windy

Joe, glad you had a good meeting with the boss. It's good to get positive feedback.

J22, I love to see herons. And eagles -- awesome! Hope you have a great weekend with the grands.

Tweety, 3 nurses for 12 patients is a pretty good day. Or it was when I worked the busy hospitals. Today our census is at 1. We are finally pretty much fully staffed and don't  have to limit census, and here we are. I will not complain. I do find I like to have something to look forward to. Hubs doesn't seem to be similarly afflicted and is only sometimes interested in the "fun" things I find to do. My sons used to be willing to go along with my fun things but even they are more interested in video games right now. There's a meme I relate to that says something about how having plans sounds great until I actually have to get dressed and leave the house. And it's true that it's harder to do, not sure if it's an effect of the pandemic or just my age. It's even harder in cold weather.

Stars, yeah, I do try to find some pleasure in the regular days. Count my blessings and all that. I agree with Joe that you're on the right path. Your description of the pitcher's antics at the game made me laugh. Hope your dh is feeling better -- or doing something about it!

One of our congressmen is going to be touring the new hospital today. It's probably best that I don't meet him. One downside to being in Oklahoma is the ridiculous politics. Not that Indiana was any better. Actually, though, it was at one time. Richard Lugar was a reasonable human being and the voters replaced him with a right wing nut. Oklahoma politics weren't always like this, either. I swear my hometown was a pretty progressive place in the 70s, for the 70s anyway. Maybe it was just my particular influences. My mother worked at the library. I was a Girl Scout and we were all about ecology, Earth day, being a citizen of the world, and so on.

There's a Maundy Thursday service tonight. The pastor had asked for people to do some "reading". I thought she meant like, you know, read scripture or something, so I volunteered. This is more dramatic, though, and I'm going to portray Mary the mother of Jesus and have this long-ish (but very moving) stuff to say. I was going to try to memorize it but ran out of time. The job is busy and I will be away all next week so trying to keep things caught up. Flying to Phoenix Monday for a work-related conference, then taking a couple of days off to spend with college friends who live there. One day this week I drove to Weatherford, about 70 miles west of OKC, to spend some time with the infection prevention nurse at their hospital. It was incredibly windy and the air was hazy with good ol' Oklahoma red dirt. Later, I saw a satellite image that showed the dust blowing up from west Texas into western Oklahoma. Dramatic.

Its sunny here, but rain is predicted. I will go for a walk after posting here. OCD co-worker is back to work, even though she was diagnosed with pneumonia on Monday and is spending most of her time telling everyone how sick she was, and what her temp was every day, and how many COVID tests she took, and why she didn't go see a doctor for 5 days even though her fever was >101. We got a bunch of new referrals that apparently I need to follow up on, because she is very tired. Plus I need to follow up on her patients as well. Crazy job share stirred up a bunch of nonsense this week that I need to smooth out, too. Sigh. At least the time goes by quickly.

Ado, I usually try to lay low when governmental types come through. We have an interesting mix of political views locally, from opposite sides of the spectrum. I am more a middle of the road person. Don't spend more than you bring in, take care of those in need, and keep the water and air clean. And healthcare should not be a for-profit business.

I was going to tell dh the pitcher story, but went to bed early last night. I will try to remember tonight, I think he will laugh, too.

It was a mostly sunny, warm day with more of those good healthy March breezes. But at sunset, we had sprinkles (which hubby calls 'spit-lettes') for about one minute, then it rained big fat drops for about 2 minutes, and then it was over with! Whew! What a storm! ?️

I was a busy bee today: went to the bank, the post office, the gas station, and the grocery store.....PLUS I have done 3 loads of laundry! If I hadda be any more domestic  than that, I would break out into hives all over more than any place else!  S'pity there's no pertinent emoji for getting hives! ?

Ball game is on and 'we' are playing the Padres. I don't know what the Padres are like as a team; reckon I'll find out, as this is the 1st of 4 games with them. Hubby just came down to the den... and it is the bottom of the 1st inning. There are 2 outs,  bases are loaded with Padres, and hubby said, "Well I can see right now it's going to be a terrible game and you might as well look for an old movie to watch." (What a Braves fan! w00t! Oh ye of little faith!)

Time to fold the last load of laundry; I just heard the buzzer go off!

Good evening.

It was an interesting day in that two nurses with  6:1 ratio and we both discharged our entire assignment.  We got one admission but moved him to another floor when two of the night shift called out sick.  Was able to leave on time.

I live in Florida where there is a Republican governor, the state house and senate are Republican run, and the two Senators in Washington are Republican.   Still, I live in a peninsula of progressiveness I a democrat run city and county.  But I don't like the direction right that the state as a whole has turned since I moved here.  Was talking to a rich couple that are selling their house on St. Pete Beach and moving to California over the politics.  I'd never do that though

So, I says, "How did you like the coconut water?"

'N he sez, "They didn't have any."

HA!  (I did not say.)

I seriously doubt there is a coconut water shortage at CVS, or Food Lion, or Walmart. My best guess is he didn't even think of looking for some.

Braves lost to Padres 7-0 tonight. But, there's always tomorrow! (maybe!)

I had coconut water once, from a fresh coconut. It was not pleasant, in my opinion. It tasted a little salty, and not in a good way.

When my father cracked a coconut with an ax, he was always careful to save the coconut "milk". It wasn't particularly tasty, but I never tasted saltiness. I think commercially bottled coconut water has a hideously meh taste.
