Those who failed on Kaplan are scaring many!

Is there anyone out there that recently passed with Kaplan?

A lot of people who seem to have used Kaplan-end up failing as of recent!

Any positive outcomes out there?!:bowingpur

Thank you for sharing...

I took Kaplan this summer, did everything Kaplan had ( content online, classroom, and Q-bank, and also book) took the test this week and Failed. Computer shut off at 77. I was scoring from 60's to 70's with Kaplan. I know alot of my fellow classmates took Kaplan and alot of them failed by using it. I'm not sure what to do and if i should retake Kaplan. It scared me that it is highly recommended and the outcome was so bad.

I agree with those who say no one program is a fit for everyone. I did the Kaplan online. I watched all the content videos and some of the question videos. I don't particularly care for the rationals kaplan gives. Saunders has great rationals and they also show the stratagy used to pick the right answer. during the exam i clearly remember telling myself 'use the process of elimination.'

the Kaplan videos can be done in about two weeks if done everyday, but for in depth review get the saunders book.

as a note and i know this was bad, I didn't do the last question trainer from Kaplan. I was afraid that if I got below their 'passing' standard it would freak me out too much and then I would go into the exam doubting myself. (I did enough of that after the exam) I started the exam an then hit submit so that could go back and read their rationals.

Completion of the Kaplan course was a requirement that needed to be met in order for you to graduate at my nursing school. I am grateful that this course was required because it was the reason I passed the NCLEX with 75 questions. I am an average student and when I took the NCLEX, I walked out knowing I passed. Can you believe that? While I was taking the test, I knew I was doing well and I even knew the computer was going to shut off at 75! I was fully prepared and I felt confident! Kaplan questions were very very close to the NCLEX style questions. I was a B-C+ student during nursing school and Kaplan was all I did to pass the NCLEX. I did 95% of the qbank questions and trainers 1-7. When I got a question wrong, I researched and found out why I missed the question. I also took notes on subjects that I was weak in. Thats all I did!!

KAPLAN was what I needed to pass the NCLEX the first time.

Yeah I agree with glam gal. I think kaplan is a little bit harder judging by their questions from the book. I failed the first test and have been gearing up again for the second time. You should try suzannes plan.
