Thomas Jefferson Fact- 1 year program 2017

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

0Hello,

I was wondering if anyone else had applied to Thomas Jefferson's Fact 1-year program. I wanted to start a thread for prospective students like myself. Good luck to all that have applied!!!

I just received my acceptance email for the Abington campus! So excited!!

CONGRATS !!! there will be an info session for accepted students in May )

Congrats so you mind telling how the interview process works?

Thank you all! I'm looking forward to meeting everybody! The interview process is very laid back. They interview up to 4 candidates at a time. Jacqueline asks questions like why nursing, why Jefferson, what are the qualities of a good nurse, etc. Then there's a writing assignment that asked if I had a good support system in place and what reservations I had about the program. I interviewed two and half weeks ago so the turnaround time was a little longer than the first round of interviews.

Hi Everybody! How many of you are attending the Accepted Student's Day on 2/18? I am curious if it is organized or if its just a mixer to meet potential classmates. Looking forward to meeting everybody!

I am hopefully going to apply for their 2 year program (18 months) when they start at their Trevose campus next year and I have one really stupid question. I tried reaching out to admissions but have yet to get a response. For those of you that took Nutrition, was it required to be with a registered dietitian? It doesn't say so in the requirements. Basically, I'm trying to avoid taking Nutrition yet again. Failed it 11 years ago, got an A just this past January...I'd really like to not have to take it a third time because I had no idea it had to be with a registered dietitian. UGH!

Hey Kellyannw

I don't think it matters. I took mine many moons ago and I doubt it was with a registered dietitian.

I truly hope it hasn't changed. I'm ok with retaking Statistics (just missed the 10 year cut off by one year) because it has been so long, but I've got a pretty full plate with these pre-reqs and I am REALLY hoping I don't have to add Nutrition back in. Some schools require it...and I applied to a program elsewhere for the Fall, their website said nothing about a registered dietitian, but I'm finding out through the grapevine they require it. Also, I am signing up for my summer courses on Monday, so I was hoping I could plot out the rest of my year, but Jeff hasn't answered :( Thank you so much!!

If any recent FACTers know if this has changed, please chime in :)

Yeah. I'll be there so I guess I'll see you there.

I think its it's a mixer and info session type thing.

No I haven't applied yet. I am interested in applying for the 2 year evening program at Abington.
