  1. I am in a similar situation right now. I am paying off my federal loans from my first bachelors, will be starting an accelerated nursing program in August and have an "average" credit score. To pay for a nursing degree you will likely have to combine the following: Federal Aid which is determined by FAFSA Nursing loan (usually $4k) Maybe your school scholarship (not whole a lot) Maybe your school private loan And other private loans. I explored a lot of options to get a private student loan. Unfortunately all of them require pretty good credit score. I was lucky enough to find a close friend who was a co-signer for my application. Try to look around for someone who knows you are responsible and willing to work hard to pay this money back. Good luck!!!
  2. Please, go to the faculty and ask for help ASAP!!! Talk to professors, to your advisor. They should be your first source of help. Accelerated programs are very demanding- in in most if you fail one class- you fail the program. You literally have days left to jump back on track. Again, talk to the faculty
  3. There was a Facebook group created for those accepted to Abington Dixon campus! Please join. Log into Facebook | Facebook
  4. For those who are not from Philly/PA area and accepted to Abington/Dixon campus. You may look for available apartments in Willow Grove, Roslyn, Abington, Horsham or Hatboro, PA. All of it will be 5 min drive to the campus. There is a bunch of apartment complexes around. I am local, but not familiar with public transportation (I am sure it is available though). The area is very safe.
  5. Hi Ins215 and congratulations on your acceptance!! There is a Facebook group for FACT class 2018, but I am not sure if it is for center city students only. I am in this group but most of discussions seems relevant for main campus - they start program in May. Maybe we should do a separate group for Abington Dixon campus?
  6. I recently received a financial aid package from Jefferson. Since FACT is a second bachelor- fin aid is pretty limited. In my case I have no choice other than start looking for a private loans...
  7. Following. I am at ABINGTON Dixon campus, but expecting Financial Aid package as well. Actually I called FA office last week- they said within a month...
  8. CONGRATS !!! there will be an info session for accepted students in May )
  9. Ladies, I am right here with you! I have a four year old and a 7 months old - and really eager to start second bachelor! It is just one year, it is probably going to be rough year, but it will open up new opportunities...
  10. Congrats on your acceptance!!! Looking forward to meeting all of classmates!
  11. Hello, don't get too nervous just yet - interviews for Abington-Dixon campus only started last week. Just make sure you meet Jan 15th deadline for your reference letter to be posted and application paid. Good Luck!
  12. Thank you for congrats! How was your interview today?
  13. Thanks a lot! Good Luck on your application!
  14. They just ask you to answer one of the questions about nursing on the paper and checking if you took time to read about FACT program - not sure if entire group is asked the same thing... I think it is more about making sure you are able to communicate coherently in writing, literally 5 minute task. We were told to monitor our emails for next weeks for the status of application and I received an acceptance letter today! Super excited)
  15. Yes, it was small group format - and questions were pretty much what previous posters said, nothing unpredictible. Try to research more about nursing field in general and Jefferson program itself. There was a small writing assignment as well. Good Luck on your interview!
